Hello everyone!

My real name is Hiedi and I've been wearing a pedometer since January, though I've only really been paying attention to it since June. I've been doing the Step Diet for a while now and it got out of control last month. I fell off completely, though I'm still wearing the pedometer. I need something new to energize me! This seems like a fantastic thing. So, I've read through all the rules, many posts and thought about my goals.

I'll allow myself (1) pause in the next 21 days.

1.) Meet minimum required steps for the next 21 days straight. Right now I need 10,000 because I am starting over, but I'll need 13,000 at the end of the 21 days.
2.) Weigh myself every morning.

I'll record both on my spreadsheet (it's in my blog)

Thanks everyone! I've done both those things today, so I'll count this as Day 1. Am I doing this right?

Start Date - 10/23/08
End Date - 11/12/08

Unhappy ok on another..

Morning here. These early mornings suck, really. But, I didn't go out drinking last night and I am GLAD for it. Good for me! I'm calling Day 8 clear even though I had a lot of sugar. I think I may have to limit the sugar as a challenge or go off it totally again. I hate the fact that I am so sensitive to sugar, just like booze.

**************
miriam -- Congrats on Day 2!

sassy -- Welcome to the thread. I hope you will enjoy it and us you!
Tell me, is your name really spelled Hiedi or is it Heidi? Want to be sure to get it right....though I never use real names because it makes it too hard for people to follow if they're new. Just curious....

sassy! Yes, you catch on quickly! And this is a nice small, personal thread to join!

I hear you about the pedometer--just found out the IPhone one won't run at the same time as other "applications", meaning I can't take or receive calls or check my email. (what the heck?) SO, I am still going to buy a real one someday soon. I was saving it for a reward for one of the many dang challenges I am in, once I hit a goal actually!

Day 4 here for me and the best weigh-in day yet--188.8. I worked my tail off for three days, here's hoping the week-end is good to me also.

Hi Apple, we missed you! Just one reminder--I just read this AGAIN--the cure for low energy and fatigue is exercise (unless there is something actually medically wrong with you). Supposedly, your mitochondria get lazy without you pushing it, and we need to do exercise to have it work better and carry oxygen better, blah, blah, blah. I forget exactly what the article all said, but I got the jist of it--we need to EXERCISE to have increased energy and vitality!! GO TEAM!

Oh wait, we aren't on teams here, are we? See how confused I get b/c I am posting and reading all over the board?
