Sassy- I am so proud of your numbers! I don't find it boring at all - we are all obsessed with numbers around our house, lol! DH has worked very hard to get his numbers better. You are so right about how you really can't tell by looking at someone. My DH ran a marathon 5 years ago and you would think that being in that great of shape would mean a great cholesterol level - wrong! He didn't get changes until he cut way back on sugars, now his numbers are great and he doesn't have to take meds, which tend to not work very well anyway.
Mindee - chili and cornbread sounds so good right now! My mom gave me her recipe for recipe for corn bread that uses canned corn. It's really good..I was waiting for some corn from the garden to make it, but I don't think I can make it that long.
Susan- Astoria is so beautiful...how did your apartment visit go?
Francie - I just read an article in EW about Stephanie Meyer - guess fans are really upset with her over the new book. I thought about you 'cause I know you're a fan-.. is it really that bad? I feel for you on the moving

here's some hugs to keep you moving
Sue - I'll keep an eye out for her...not watching too much Olympics, though ( is that heresy or what?) It's all political so I won't get into it here. I may watch some over the next week at my mom's. I hope you feel better and I hope you can find a doc who will help you get your gall bladder out. What are the reasons why they won't do it now? Oh...
here's my blog ( click on the link) I put some art and finished projects up in the last week
Asia - yay on 165! My DH just made it to 163, which got me off my butt, let me tell you! 'Course he is training for a marathon and cutting back on bread..if I did that I would be losing lots as well.
Tammy - glad the shower went well - you sure sound busy! I need to finish painting my living room, but it's hard with young-uns running around. Guess I'll get it done when they trot off to school.
Cristina - how's your tummy - are you feeling better? V still on strike? I hope that gets settled soon for everyone's sake. My DH' union was thisclose to striking a few years back and it's very stressful so

for you and him.
Jules - Hey there - hope you are alright - I'm sure you are really busy.
I think I got to everyone..if I didn't HI

Since I returned from my class, we started up with midday swimming lessons at the outdoor pool, which tend to stretch into hanging out at the pool for lunch and open swim..then the next thing you know it's time for dinner and the day is shot. So not much posting. I did attend my 25th high school reunion last weekend and that was so much fun! Definitely the most relaxed of all the reunions I've been to...we are all hoping to connect a bit more regularly in the future. Lots of people have stayed local. Not hard to justify, since the Portland area is a great place to live. I'll be hitting the road with the kids to see family soon, so hopefully I'll get back to post some here and there...sorry I haven't been around much. When I get computer time, it's constantly interrupted by kiddoes. C'est la vie!
Weightwise -I'm holding steady. Hub's gotta try to keep to 100g of carbs a day to try to control his blood sugars. I already limit mine, but I get lazy, so I told him I will work on this as well out of support, and so that dinner time is a little less complicated. Not going to make so much pasta and pizza, lol! I reset my goals on Sparkpeople, upping the fat and protein, and keeping the carbs to no more than 150g so we'll see how it goes. Aren't we a pair? This is what middle age looks like people!
Have a great day everyone!
