Yesterday I worked a mars bar into my daily calories. It was delicious! I hadn't had one in, easily - over a year. I've been trying new foods and things to give myself variety in my diet (i was tired of canned salmon, peas and low fat yoghurt..not that that's all I was eating

).
A wedge of light laughing cow cheese on half a slice of rye is my favourite snack right now - and only 85 calories, with 9 grams of protein.
Before I changed up my diet, I was eating small amounts of healthy, high-ish calories foods, but now I'm eating smaller amounts, more variety - and the same number of calories. The change has been refreshing and it also means I'm less insane about not eating certain foods... I'm allowing myself more 'treat' foods - in sensible portions. (That still doesn't mean I get a mars bar every day...
Work is getting really crazy lately. Everyone's buying christmas things...(duh

). I'm really sick of the cd we have playing in the store - it's a 40 or so minute loop...a mixture of generic christmas songs and a man saying "thank you for shopping here" as well as other things every few minutes.
It's raining in sydney right now, and I'm feeling lazy and tired form my workout yesterday, and I have an active day ahead of me tomorrow - I'm going to a parkour jam.
How's the knee feeling, Marie? Braces are brilliant. The slow walk sounds like a good way to ease back into activity - also, do you cycle? It's a great way to strengthen the quads (and stabilise the knee joint), and it's low impact.
Auntie - still really busy with work? At least the evil kisses temptation is gone...even if only for now.
Hey - even if you don't sustain an exercise program, you're active in your everyday life! What with the tea kettle waiting stretches/ computer loading waiting weights....It's all about incorporating activity into daily life, right? This is why I love accidental exercise. I plan to make couch plyometrics a craze. It's simply - every 5 minutes when you are sitting on the couch watching tv (which i do a lot, even though I'm also active) you spring up and jump as high as you can and land back on the couch. My friend dubbed it (a$$ trampoline). I should get the idea copywritten.....
Ok my insanity has infiltrated this post enough.... time to go now.
Happy friday ladies!
