Janice way to go! You are losing at a really good weight. Just think what you will look like when your pool opens up. I guess right now you could probably skate on it. I promise you I have sent good weather your way. The last week the night temps have been below freezing but the days have warmed up.

Gayle no news yet. Hopefully we will know in a couple of days. It is hard no knowing what is going on.
My dear Aunt Sally (god mother, mom's baby sister) wasn't well in Mexico. She had pain in her arms and back. She also was concerned about a little lump she got. By the time that they left for home she had been to emergency four times and they didn't really find anything. They thought it was nerve pain.
Since she has been home she has gotten worse. She now has 13 lumps and is having a very hard time to breath.She isn't doing much but resting. She is very active, loves to cook and clean. She is 62 years old. Twice different doctors told her it was fat in the lumps at that she has arthritis. She finally went to a walk in clinic and they took a chest xray. They seen something there that they will discuss after they get the results of the biopsy that they did on one of the lumps. The lumps seem to be where the limp nodes are. We are pretty concerned at this point. She will know the results on thursday. She didn't want to tell mom to much til she has the results. It doesn't sound to good. I hope that I am wrong.
More bad news to share......Mom's best friend Jackie (the one dealing with brain cancer) was just told that they can no longer do anything for her. They took her off her meds and is giving her two months to live. Up til now she has traveled lots and enjoyed going to the casinos. She is still able to do that this week so mom wanted to take her out gambling. She will be going down hill very quickly. She walks with a walker right now and her memory is so-so. Mom is having a hard time with this news, that is why Sally hasn't said anything to mom about how serious this might be. Mom knows that she is resting most of the time and in pain but doesn't know the rest. I think it is better to tell when we have all the facts.

So please remember us in your prayers this week.

Jackie crossed my mind the other day, but I couldn't remember her name and then I forgot to ask you about her. If I remember correctly, she has lived more years then they ever expected. I am sorry to hear things have progressed to the point they have for her. We just never know...
Your aunt will be in my prayers. I agree, it is probably best to wait to tell your mom after you know more. With her health problems as well, it is wise to not cause her added stress.
I'm anxious to see what you find out about Larry's test.
Healing prayers are sent my friend, for all those involved. Prayer can really work miracles at times.

Oh my goodness Dee you have a lot on you right now. I know how that feels and will keep you and all in my prayers. Please let us know as soon as you get the results from Larry's tests.

Janice, it's cold here today and they are calling for 20's and frost for us tonight. I'm ready for summer!

Janice you are right there is lots going on right now. By next week some of this will be water under the bridge. My back oblation will be over, we will have the results on Sally, and hopefully the results back from Larry's test. After that we will have to start dealing with it.

Shelley in Canada there is a game called the waiting game.....you wait and wait for tests and then you wait and wait for results. No news yet.

My mom's birthday is today. She is 74. She thought that she would die when she turned 72 because so many of her family members died at that age. We will be going to see her tonight. She just caught a cold. I am hoping that now that she quite smoking that she won't get as sick and have to be hospitalized.


Mmmm black forest cake. Gee I have let the sugar monster come out of the closet again. After mom's cake today I am going to get back on track.

Thanks, we had such a lovely time last night. My family is so loud but we have a lot of fun. Mom seemed so happy and was having a good time. Her cold didn't seem to bad.
Would you believe that I didn't even eat half of my cake? Yuck I was looking forward to it and it wasn't even good. Boy is there a difference in where you buy it.

I am just going over to my neighbors now for her to critic my painting for mom. I told mom that she would get her gift on Mother's day. We want to get it mated and framed too.

DIL1 went to the doctor today and all appears to be well. Grandbaby4 is officially due December 6th. December is going to be a busy month!

Just waiting on Larry to take me to the hospital. I am scared but happly stoned.

Larry worked from home yesterday and Dez came over right after work to make dinner and help out through the evening. Jay and Ash came by after work and dropped of some lovely yellow tulips.

I had a rough day yesterday but I am feeling really good this morning. I will take it day by day and see if this procedure helped. How I feel this morning I would say that it helped. Now to get the other half done so I can go and live with less pain.

No news from Sally or Larry.

So what are you ladies up to today or for that matter this weekend?

Larry will be installing windows. He has eight more to put in but all the trim on the outside to do. At least we get to see the improvement from inside.

We went goofing this morning visiting a book sale at our local library, then out for lunch. To be honest, this afternoon we did NOTHING! :-) Steve is on at work now and I have the evening to get things straightened out for company tomorrow. We have church in the morning, breakfast at MIL's and then ice cream and cake here later in the afternoon with family. So, you guessed it, no dieting for the next few days. Ali gifted me with the cutest little welcome dog for our front door and Steve gave me a gift certificate for a new pair of walking/running shoes plus some other goodies.
Lord grant me patience tonight though... we have a new girl living across the street who is testing my last ounce of patience! She is a "bossy" little soul and I'm trying to teach Ali to stand up for herself and not let this girl tell her what to do. I'm really trying to like this child, but she is making it very difficult... poor Ali is even getting tired of her!

We had a few poops living near us when the kids were growing up. Their parents only seem to encourage it. We tried to keep the kids involved and away from the neighbors. We also explained to them the lessons of being self centered and mean.
I am sorry to hear that Ali has to deal with this.

Just a quick post. I am feeling great. Way less pain. Weather this is a placebo affect or it is really my pain is very little except bumps up when we go in the car.

Results from Sally came in and they aren't good. The doctor said that they were not curable. She has small cell carcinoma lung cancer and skin cancer. They are double checking the skin cancer result because the lumps are only where her lymphs are, which are not sun exposed. She was in good spirits, mostly concerned about everyone else.
The pain of Viv passing away, Mother's Day and the news of Sally is hurting.

I need to think of the positive and rejoice in all the good times I had in Vallarta with those two lovely ladies.

I can also be thankful today for very little pain.

And for you ladies too!

Dee - I am glad that something has finally helped your pain. The emotional pain is just as hard to cope with I know, keep strong.

Hello all! Don't have a lot of time, but here's a quick update:

I'm having my gall bladder removed on May 23rd. I'm hoping that once it's gone and I've had a few weeks to recover all of my fatigue will go away. I am really feeling dragged down lately.

I've been spending way too much $$ on pictures of Jake. I just can't help it, though, I want to capture every moment of him at this age. He's THREE- MONTHS-OLD today. I can't believe how quickly that time has passed!

Shelley how is Mike liking his job? Where did your mom and dad go?

Anybody have any special Mother's Day plans? We are planning on going to the park with the kids and having a picnic for lunch. I hope that it will be warm enough. Later in the day we will go and see mom and probably order in dinner.

Dad just got his knee surgery date moved up to next wednesday. They will probably keep him in for 5-6 days. Next weekend is te long weekend and we are planning on being away. I feel bad about it but I am sure that he won't mind a cute nurse instead of his daughter.

I picked up new pictures of Jake yesterday! My sister's church had a photographer come in as a fund raiser. I plan to mail all of you a picture.

I won't post pictures of him on the web, because I'm just overprotective that way, and these are copyrighted, so I can't scan them to e-mail.

I don't have any plans for Mother's Day. I am working all weekend. Amanda is taking me to see Dirty Dancing the musical next Wednesday. I am looking forward to it, I've heard its wonderful.

Janice to bad you are working the weekend but I am sure you will enjoy Dirty Dancing. I heard it is great. Enjoy yourself.

Cheryl I am looking forward to recieving a picture of little Jake. I am sure that they are so cute. You must be one proud mommy. Wow it is your first mother's day. I hope that you have a very special one.

It has been such a cold spring. The nights are still freezing. The day time temps aren't reaching much higher than 60 if that. I hope we get back to normal temps.

I finished my picture for mom and Larry made a frame. I am happy with it. It took a lot of work before I could say that. Now I hope that mom likes it.

Larry looked high and low for our hitch for the trailer that was suppose to have been dropped off at his work last thursday. He finally found it yesterday. It was delivered to a company puts on hitches. It is amazing that he found it. It was a special order because they don't make one for our car any more. Our trailer should be here today or for sure tomorrow. I can't wait to see it. Next weekend will be the big test to try it out. It is a long weekend for us. Hopefully it will be warmer. Everyone asked if it had airconditioning but right now at this point it is a good thing that it has a furnace!

I am off to downtown to swim. Have a good one ladies.

Sunday we are going to church/out for breakfast. Then putting together an outdoor swing for one mom. We got her one with the canopy, so hopefully it will help with the sun. Then we will be picking up the other one to take her out for a meal (she is losing to much weight) not eating poperly. Still not sure what to get her for a gift. I requested some strawberry plants and a pot for my mothers day gift.

Dee, I hope you get a pic of the painting, I WANT TO SEE! Cool that Larry made the frame. Not an easy task. Steve made a frame for me one time and was such a perfectionist, I only have the one.

Cheryl, auntie Gayle LOVES all the photos of baby Stew that his mommy wants to share! He is a sweetheart!

Dee- I hope the weather gets warmer for next weekend. Its about the same here as you are having. Below normal temperatures and still a chance of frost.

I am going to have to go on to facebook and find you girls. I haven't been on much since I have been home from mexico.

Our trailer is in the city but we can't pick it up because we don't have a hitch yet. There was such a mix up with that hitch we won't be getting it put on til monday, so I won't get to see the trailer til then.
It didn't stop me shopping last night looking for things to fill it up with.

Gayle I hope that you get your strawberry plants for mother's day. I am so lucky because mom and dad have all the veggies and strawberries, raspberries and apples. I only have flowers and a few tomato plants in my yard.
Larry is a awesome handyman. He can do pretty much everything and he is a perfectionist. I am very lucky because I am fussy to and when you hire someone they often don't take pride in their work.

Time to get to the Y for some swan dives and downward dogs.....
