Willba3--AmberD is saying she lives in Northern VA. Depending on whose driving Northern Va is about 1.5-2 hours north of you. I also live in Northern VA. The traffic sucks I just got off the phone with my mom. She was yelling and cursing. People are not very polite and it is difficult to make anyone happy. With that being said I love my job, where I live, and I have great friends. My BF is alright too !

I seriously thought that was a place......Oh well, I hear that Northern VA is very nice, and it is more like what I am used to!

I said all of that but I do love it! Other places I've been to just move too slow. I think I need to visit NY and I may rethink the fast thing. It is beautiful here.

Hi all... lady from Sterling here. I grew up in Blacksburg (sw virginia, GO HOKIES!). I've lived/worked up here for a couple of years now, and I have to say I definitely do not like it. Too crowded, too expensive, too many rude people . . . but this is where the good paying jobs are so that's why I'm here. It is also where my fiance is, so I am stuck here until we both get so sick of NoVa that we sell our house and move. I certainly hope to move out of the ****-hole that is Northern Va sometime in the next few years.

Yes the people here are very rude. New people to the area always mention it. I've been here since 86 minus the four years of college at the University of Florida. I moved here because my parents were in the military then, they are now retired. It was difficult at first bc I was in 10th grade and everyone here had known each other since kindergarten. Regardless of that I have made the greatest friends at my various jobs. There are some okay people here.

I am from jersey, and I always hear that we are the Rudest......I am nice though!!!!! but yeah for me I have noticed the southern hospitality! I am not used to it!!!!

The worst is this time of year. I shop online or really late like the week before Christmas. A lot of people have gotten all their shopping done by then. Also the driving...don't get me started on that. I drive really fast and people are still riding my a** ! That amazes me.
