Oh where is it that your friends live in SD? We are not getting anything like Sturgis and Deadwood, they had over 40 inches of snow yesterday afternoon and were forcasting at least another foot by the end of the night. If it was here I could have had a snow day, darn it!

Well I am super excited but I will have check on a different scale but mine has been good, yesterday was weigh in day and I lost .6 pounds which hey ok I was a very bad girl over the weekend But this morning I got on (sometimes I do this daily thing) and it shows losing 4.4 pounds WHOOHOOO but again I will have to weigh on another one before I believe but I so hope that all of last weekend is out of me and it is true, oh and I have been exercising this week as well and drinking lost of water, no alcohol still recubing from last weekend on that one to.

It is FRIDAY!!!! Hope everyone has a good one

The bubble has been popped!!!! Moved the scale and it went back to the 174 so checked it again, While I am out and about today I am getting a new scale. Oh well I am on the right path this week so I will take it.

You are toooooo funny Holly!

Yep Reda, I agree that maybe not believing the 4.4 is a good idea til ya confirm it one more time after the fun you've been having!!

Trip to Wyoming is just a little over a week away and it's C-O-L-D out there! Hummmmmm...wonder what I can wear on the trip out there since it will be warm here when I leave and arrive back...and freezing when I step off the little puddle-jumper plane in Cody. Lots of fun planned w/ the kids tho, and daughter's DH is working out of town all week....so won't we have fun w/ no guys to worry about! I'm soooo looking forward to some girl-time with my girl. (She's 28!)

Still haven't weighed myself..............(chicken!!!)

morning everyone...I'm nervous. Rider course starts tonight. I hope I can pass the written. I don't do so well on written tests. How did I graduate from college? I have a handbook from my friend, but it's so much material. I am sooo nervous.

Sass, You'll do fine!!!! Just keep visualizing the POSITIVE...one step at a time...like passing the written exam, then getting on that bike for the next step. NO NEGATIVE THOUGHTS, Girl! None!!!!

Keep us posted....we're here for ya!

Sass, we have faith in you!!!!

Reda, not sure where our friend is (sounds vague, I know, lol, he's on our forum but just lists SD as his location)

Jill, you must be so excited about your trip!

today, I did not want to exercise at all!! but literally forced myself to ( what I was truly about to do was snooze until I have to get ready for work, not good for me, it reinforces my sometimes debilitating depression habits) so I did almost 20 minutes of sweaty, lank-hair flopping about aerobics, then Gilad's Abs tape; was about 4 minutes from the end when my mom called, oh darn, couldn't finish the tape but at least I did it!

again, best wishes to Sass tonight! you'll be fine, we know you will!

Sass, Good Luck you will do just fine, it may seem overwhelming but it really isn't to bad. Most instructors are really good and really emphasize the questions that will be on the test.

You will do fine, have fun with it

Ya I knew it was to good to be true with the scale and all but thats okay I have been behaving for the most part all week. I am getting ready to get my exercise in for the day as well, but would also much rather jump in bed under the blankets and get warmed up.

Holly at least you did get some exercise in that is way better than none

Oh my Jill one week till vacation, with the weather today I want to be on vacation toooo

Have a great Friday night all

Oh ya Sass you will have to let us know how your class is going

I can't believe this is the first time I've seen this thread!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to you ladies. I'm motorcycle obsessed, but am more into sport bikes and sport-touring.

One of my weight loss goals is to fit into a pair of track leathers.

Here's a pic of me and my bike. Also a link to my ride report from going to Colorado this summer.

Nice to meet all of you! I love meeting other women riders!

Colorado and back!

Hi MotoMichelle!! we've been around since 2005, I think

Is that you in your avatar, on a track day? if so, kewl!

I did read about your trip, that was great!! and so many awesome photos. And so great that you and your husband ride. Isn't that a wonderful thing for a marriage.

Is your VStrom the 650 or 1000? We got our older son (now 25) hooked on motorcycles when we let him learn on our extra bike, an '86 Kaw Vulcan. Then he bought himself the 650 WeeStrom and loves it.

How long can you continue to ride, with the winter months coming? I"m on borrowed time now as it is. I haven't put the bike away yet for the winter, but the available times to ride are gonna be even more scarce between now and T-giving.

well, welcome again!

today's exercise - Karen Voigt tape, it's step aerobics alternating with weights/strength. About 50 minutes. Sweaty! It's mild here! (like 50 outside)

good morning! cloudy and wet from overnight; s'posed to be partly sunny today with showers. If the roads seem dry enough, I'll ride to work. Doesn't look too promising, though.

Been thinking about Sass, and her weekend motorcycle course. Hope to hear from her soon!

today's exercise - Denise Austin's Sizzler, cardio and strength.

have a nice Sunday, I'll be at work

I'm back...and I am still motorcycle endorementLESS. Yep, I blew it. I passed the written with flying colors and then I got 26 points on my road test...the max. points one can have w/o failing is 20. So, I'm down in the dumps. I have to take that course ALL OVER AGAIN! I don't think I can sit through that book crap again. I am so bummed. Here were my problem areas...

-not maintaining the throttle through a turn
-use the brakes before entering my stopping point
-totally blew the two u-turns in the box although I mastered it at practice

I was nervous and I think that's what made me blow it! I am so mad at myself. I am going to go ahead an try to get into that course again as a standby when there is a next class. I'm sure I'll pass it next time because I know what to expect, but I was really wanting to ride by myself tomorrow! I can still ride, but I have to be with someone with a license of course so it's not all that bad.

Also, the bikes at the course sucked! I love the Ducati now. Ha! That take off is priceless! The take off with the course bikes were so slow and it caused me to stall out many times.

Anyway...that's all for now. I'm so upset.

Sass so sorry to hear about how your class went, but like you said get on the list to retake right away because you know now exactly what to expect. U-turns are the worst, and i am now totally relearning that myself with my new bike not really sure that I will ever master it with the frontend rake that I have now.

Congrats on passing the written though that is an accomplish completed
Since passing the written can you at least get a permit that allows you to ride on your own bike as long as you are with a licensed driver on their bike?

Let us know if you get into another class?

I am going to be very busy this week my new store opens on Thursday so starting tomorrow we start stocking shelves, all the vendors will come in tuesday and wednesday like pop, beer, Frito, Bread, Novelty stuff so I will try to log in sometime but may not be daily this week.

Have a great week though!!

Aw Sass...what a bummer. So...lemme get this straight...you have to take the test on a DMV bike? Or it was just that the one you have been borrowing to practice on wasn't available for the test? 'Cause having to use a DMV bike would be a total drag. Keep practicing - it sounds like nerves are what got you.

Reda - it's funny - I've never been much for lottery tickets...maybe just one, huh? You sound like you've got your work cut out for you this week - have fun!

Holly - Bwahahahah - loved the haloween pics and story! It also sounds like you have been rocking the workouts!

Jill - You must be getting psyched for your trip.

MotoMichele - Holy crap - what an amazing trip!

I'm grumpy 'cause I have been off plan for a while...I was up to 177 this morning. 175 was supposed to be my 'drop dead if you go above it' weight. Time to knuckle down and take it back off. I'm blaming stress eating - I had to go down to southern CA for my Aunt's funeral last Friday. In reality, I've been sliding back into bad habits for a while now and it needs to STOP. I'm putting my foot down. At least I'm still logging...I can look back and laugh later. And I've been keeping up with exercise - had a fantastic bicycle ride today and then mowed the lawn for what hopefully is the last time til spring. Anyhoo - I'm glad y'all are here, it really helps to be able to commiserate.

MotoMichelle, I knew I was forgetting something last night when I was on. I did check out your trip as well and it looks like you had a blast even with some teary times that is what makes the trip. Shoot my long trip has been 600 miles oneway but usually by time we get home we are 2000 miles. Planning on taking along trip this summer up into Canada if all goes well

Gina I know you will buckle down and get back on plan, but you have been still exercising so that part is staying with you forever

Hope everyones Monday goes well
