Jill ya it sure did sound like a super fun trip...

I haven't been up to much, I have been getting in some riding almost each day after work when I should be cleaning. I figure I have all winter to clean

I am with you Gina party planning is not my thing there is alot of work and planning that goes into it and not to mention the organization.

Well we are getting down to upper 30's lower 40's at night but warming up to upper 60's lower 70's during the day which is great riding weather.
I have a little more work to get done but wanted to check in since it has been a long while, sorry for that. Ride Safe everyone and have a great weekend

Hi Chickies!

Ditto on the party-planning for me, Gina....I used to love it, but now I find that those kinds of things are waaaaay toooo much stress! Glad you survived and everything went well for you. Whew! Hope you get your scoot on the road soon, must be nice weather out there in CA!

We rode over to a biker bar along Lake Monroe in Sanford (FL) last night....was fun! 'Twas a benefit for a young 20 year old celebrating his last birthday. Due to a brain tumor, he's not expected to live until Christmas. Sad....but a nice gathering for a super-duper cause...and he's got an incredible attitude despite his "future". It's interesting to see the strength we get when faced with something so awful....makes you certainly believe there's a higher power at work.

On a happier note....Good News for ME, Chickies!! I am flying to Wyoming to visit daughter and grans on November 7th!! YAY! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get out there this year because the tickets were $1000 each and our economy is so terrible here in FL. But....good things happened and I found a ticket for $445. So.....I'M THERE!!

Hope ya'll are well and out there riding! Be safe! I'll be working two 12's on Monday and Tuesday, so I'll be checking in mid-week to see what you're up to.

YOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOO....Holly! Where are ya, Girl??!!

Well Good Morning to All!!! Hopefully it is good just think we are past the Monday...

Well I have been way off track for the last month or so ....and have gained like 5-6 pounds Anyways getting back to the WW meetings tonight I have a trip planned Feb 3rd for a week in Cancun and I need to get the rest of this weight off before then. I know I can do it but with me I have to stay on track and disciplined. I did start my walking back up on Sunday as well, that will make a big diff.

That is great news getting a little vacation for yourself as well and getting to visit the kids and grandkids. Coming to the midwest, how long has your daughter lived in WY? You know flights are crazy right now some are really high then you have Southwest who has some really cheapo flights right now to certain places in the US. Well i better get off to work talk to you later

It's OK to join you guys here since I'm taking my MSF on Nov. 7t to the 9th, right? I don't have a bike yet (currently looking), but I will be an official rider after the 9th.

SBD Sass WELCOME ABOARD There are few of us here but we do check in and we all love riding. You will enjoy the class and you do learn alot.
So are you looking for a bike? What are you leaning towards? Do you ride passenger with DH (DBF)?

Thanks! No, I don't ride passenger at all. Never have and probably never will. I'd like to ride my own bike so that's what I'm aiming for. I am currently looking for a bike and I'm leaning toward a used Kawasaki ZZR600 that has never been dropped (haha wish me luck on that one). My eyes are glued on Craigslist and I'm always calling local bike shops to see if they have come across any. I'm totally into sport bikes, but my 2nd bike will be a cruiser for sure.

I am excited!

Hey Sass, Welcome! Hi Reda!

Sass, how cool to be looking for your own Kawasaki and preparing for your course. Good luck to ya...and have fun while you're doing it! I ride behind my HH (handsome husband!) and just love it. Most of our Chicks do have their own bikes and hopefully we'll have most of them back on here now that summer's coming to an end for most. Except for me....we live in central Florida and our premier riding season is just beginning :-) In fact, both of us are off work today and our friends are visiting from upstate NY with their bike.....so today WILL be a riding day! And next weekend is BikeToberFest in Daytona, needless to say...you know where we'll be headed

And Sass...I just looked at your before and after's and you look AMAZING, Girl!!!!

Reda - Back on track, girl!

Hey Jill - BikeToberFest....

I haven't been riding lately - such a slacker. I've been on the bicycle...at least it's still 2 wheels.

Jill I am way to jealous Biketoberfest It is getting to gold to ride around here I got home changed clothes and back my bike out of garage and then went to start it and it wouldn't start I was very PO'D to say the least. I am so use to my old bike just starting right up no problem in the winter months but this one is going to be difficult I guess.

Sass that is some awesome progress pictures you have, it is very noticeable and great job!!!

Thank you Jill! Jill what's going on with your bike?

What kind of boots do you gals wear when you're riding? I have a jacket that I'm going to buy on Friday that I just have to have so I'm OK there. I'm still stuck on the helmet. I don't really feel like spending $300 on it.

I get my jacket tomorrow. I was told I need to try on my jacket while sitting on my bike. But...I don't have a bike yet. I want my jacket for the course. I'm still getting the jacket, but I hope it fits me well when I do get my bike.
