Hey ladies
Sounds like everyone's doing well :D Last night I ate out at the Lone Star cafe which is famous for their massive serving sizes. I ordered the starter sized prawns on rice and it turned out to be TINY!! I was so gutted that I hadn't ordered something else. Had creme brulee for dessert and was horrified to read in my ww book that a small creme brulee is 13 1/2 points!! As you all might remember, my goal for this week was to lose 0.5kg by Monday's weigh in. I'm off to another city to help in their office from Monday to Thursday next week so can't weigh in as usual on Monday. I weighed in at the gym this morning and oh my goodness, I've lost 1.8kg bringing my total weight loss to date to 11.3kg!! :carrot::cb::broc::carrot::cb::broc::carrot::cb::b roc::carrot::cb::broc::carrot::cb::broc::carrot::c b::broc::carrot::cb::broc::carrot::cb::broc::carro t::cb::broc::carrot::cb::broc::carrot::cb::broc::c arrot::cb::broc: Have a great weekend ladies, I know I will :twirly: |

i am sick sick sick and over it and sore and baby keeps throwing up feeds and i have the sniffles and a headache about to eat a chicken filet burger and some chips (not KFC the local shop makes a home cooked variety - possibly better for me but hubby's fave and he is doing kitchen stuff while i mope around feeling sick) |
Well done Julia, that's an awesome effort!!
I walked about 1:45hrs today along the beach, got a bit of sun and have a nice white patch on my arm where my ipod sat. Also got a nice blister on my heel from wearing the wrong socks. Doh. Also took the dogs around the block, ate okay, and had my bucketloads of water. Craving chocolate tonight, so might go and get some Nestle diet choc mousse. |
Evening all!
I am not going to brag about the awesome week of dieting I have had while I have been away, that just wouldn't be right or fair of me...and it'd be a big fat lie!!! :p But I am pleased to announce...I am soooo over KFC!!! I only had it once, but that was more than enough!! YUCKO!!!! I do have to say the highlight of my trip was the lunch with Ani!! It was the perfect end to a very hectic week! It was the first time we met, although, attempt two. And I hope there will be more in the future! And Ani, thank you for my fur fix - I didn't realise how much I was missing it after just a few days! :dizzy: And Gen, you have sure brought some action to the thread! It is a week now and your FWB is still the centre of conversation! Before I even read Ani's post, I had to wonder how you were going to thank him for his contribution to the 1.1kg loss you managed last weigh in? Surely you owe him something for that? :p Well done on the loss anyway! In future when you lose more that 1kg we'll be thinking 'wonder what Gen got up to last night?' Hmmm...wonder what we should think if you gain? :p Ok, mind out of the gutter!!! Julia, well done on your efforts! That is fantastic! I'll be happy if I only go up 1kg on Monday! I feel like I may have gone up 8kg though!!! Kylie, have fun in Sydney! I hope it is all good! And I think you are sounding more and more like your old chirpy self! :) Kel, hope you are feeling better too! But play on it...make the most of hubby's kitchen duties!!! Now, I need to burn off some calories unpacking!! |
Morning all, it's a shame that on a beautiful spring day in Perth I have to work. But like all true procrastinators I'll put it off for a few hours :)
Lindor I'm glad you enjoyed your fur fix. Those delightful fluffy felines of mine have left more fur around the house than on their coats this week, so I'm going to get my morning aerobic exercise vacuuming up cat hair for the next hour or so! Now Gen, what gossip do you want to know about Lindor? You know that she's a woman of mystery, and if I tell you anything she will probably fly back to Perth and chop my fingers off … so I can tell you she is funny, articulate, entertaining and that I really enjoyed meeting her. Kylie if you come to Perth and we don't catch up I will be most disappointed. Hey Julia - I reckon you're going to overtake me in the next week or so, and that's really inspiring. It's awesome to see you getting great results on the scales, and feeling so much better about everything. Kel are you feeling better? It's crap when you feel sick, and the baby is sick … but remember: M&Ms do not cure bugs and lurgies! Right - off to play domestic goddess for a few hours, before having to get to work. :) Ani |
A beautiful spring day in Perth? Typical, the day after I return from a week of cold, wet, miserable weather!
Actually, it wasn't that bad outside in Perth (despite all my moaning!), I found it very comfortable mastering the layout of Murray and Hay Streets by foot. It was colder in my glorified prison cell/shoe box I was being accommodated in! (Oh boy am I looking forward to getting to work tomorrow!! Grr!) And the rain was more in the evening, and just very brief showers. Freo on Friday was just perfect! And my stomach muscles still hurt from the laughing! I had to laugh Ani, I was emptying my case last night and created a pile of clothes for washing on the floor! I had two dogs and a cat sniffing intently at the clothes I was wearing when I met your family - that they had managed to single out from all the other clothes in the pile!! Sometimes I wish I could read the minds of animals! And speaking of fur, in true Lindor logic, I came home yesterday wearing dark clothes! My (white) cat was so thrilled to see me he would not leave me alone! I swear I had more of his fur on me then he had left on him!! After such a full on(ish) week, I plan to take a relaxed approach to my Sunday. I have a load of books that I am planning to get into - once I decide which one to start with, so the couch is calling! My cleaner did her stuff (and more! Grr!) while I was away so my only chore is my washing! Tomorrow, it is back to reality...work, life and the real weight-loss program! My plan for next week is to eat around 1600cals, drink at least 1.5L of water and get back to 20mins of step-ups in the comfort of my air-conditioned flat as it is now at the point of being too hot to walk to work! I did notice we hit the states highest temp one day last week at 41C! Wow, it is just too early in the season for those temps! Weigh in tomorrow! Do I have to? :^: |
Of course you have to weigh-in tomorrow :p Just take a deep breath and do it - because it will feel SO much better when you lose weight the following week!
I hate to think what your cleaner did - apart from clean. I'd threaten her with changing locks & whatever emotional blackmail you can think of :) Since I have such a mental block about the bogey 85kg I switched my scales to pounds this morning, and am going to keep weighing myself in pounds until I reach 180lb. It might sound ridiculous to most people, but I just have this thing about 85… and I can't get past it. So I'm going to see if this works for me – just to get over that particular barrier. Right! Work has stopped gently nudging, and is now screaming at me. So I had better get to it. Blurk! :) |
LOL @ Lindor - you're evil, woman! Given how completely smashed we both were, I thought we did well to manage anything. Actually the next morning when we were discussing, I said "You did well" (meaning given how much he drank) and he said "Thanks Genno, you weren't too bad yourself!" Hahaha... doh. I suspect given that we're both single at the moment, there may be more er accidents until I go away.
|
You're right Ani! I do have to weigh-in tomorrow. So I will...with my eyes closed! :p
Gen, I might be watching your weight carefully now! I might even have to do some speadsheets and graphs of my own! :p |
why are you scared of weighing in lindor? you are kicking butt!
i am going to be scared this thursday coz i am 'stuck' in the house for the week, baby has a virus so i cant go out, it does mean i can enjoy a nice salad though for a couple of days............ but then my kitchen is covered in drop sheets so no cooking healthy dinner............ we shall see |
Kel yep you do chjange shape. Well, most people do. I am a 14 top but sometimes tight around arms. I need size 16 to get around my tummy (I refuse hipsters) but they fall baggy around my BUTT and upper thighs. I wear 14s mostly. They r a little tight around tum, but I keep pulling up the bigger ones. And in bras I vary 3 sizes so......... Go figure. All makes of clothes though are different sizes. I have a 12 from Big W and they are fine, yet a 14 from Big W in a different design and they are way to tight. Can't go by sizing these days. An example is shoes... Hmmm I am a 6,7 or 8.
Weigh in tomorrow not l;ooking forward too. last week i forgot and at my sneak peak last night was not good. |
Going to Gold Coast in a week and my jeans dont fit... Grrrr. Tried on my shirts for residential I have in 4 weeks time and they are to tight. Darn I really have to try harder.
|
Sad as it sounds, I can't wait to get back into my weights this week! Feel heaps better, and looking forward to work tomorrow, which is slightly tragic.

Lindor and Ani, it sounds like you guys had a nice time catching up. I wish I could come over for a coffee!
Sounds to me like we may be able to expect a few more stories from you Gen. Whoot Whoot! After such an awesome result at my weigh in, I went a bit nuts on Saturday night and ate and drank too much at a BBQ. I ate about 5-6 servings of meat and drank 2 x 1.5l bottles of Cider followed by 3 rum and cokes and 1 wine so was WAY over my points for that day. Not surprisingly I didn't get any exercise done on Sunday. I'm working in another city for the next 4 days and the 3 gyms that my gym have reciprocal rights with have closed down so I've got to hope that the weather holds out and I can go walking in the evenings. I'm determined to maintain my weight this week at the very least. :twirly: |
