Big Hug To You, Mae!!!

So glad to see you, lady. I had just about decided that our thread was kaput ... I think a couple of our ladies have migrated to much more active groups, which I completely understand. I have been M.I.A. most of the summer, and will not be back here full-force until close to Labor Day. My hope is that we can liven things back up again then, and maybe some of our ladies will drop back in to say how they're doing, and will become more engaged here when Fall comes. And of course, we will always welcome any newbies who want to join in.

Mae, my weight today is exactly what it was when I started this thread! :o A victory of sorts, I guess, considering the overeating I've done this Summer. You, however, ARE DOING GRAND!!! :flow1: I am very proud of you, and hope that you will feel 100% again soon as you continue toward Onederland. I would love to be there again by Christmas.

Tracy, Lisa, Losing4 ... hope we will see your smiling faces here again! :flow2: Hope you're all having a wonderful Summer! :sunny:

Cheers ...
Olivia

Hey friends, I just wanted to let you know I'll be M.I.A until September. Lots of
travel and not much internet. We'll see what I weigh when life is back to normal. Good luck everybody. Lisa

Happy Trails, Lisa!

Hi there ... :sunny:

I hope your travel will be relaxing and loads of fun, and that you will enjoy every moment. So happy you are planning to be with us in September when we kick it up a notch!

Hugs,
Olivia

**** ladies,

Looks like we have been busy with summer fun to completely be devoted to our diets. I've been hanging out with preteens all summer and eating like one too  I'm trying to get myself back into diet mode and get off the eat and go diet of anything easy and in most cases unhealthly. Starting my gym membership august 20th when my daughter goes back to school. Come September I should be ready to kick it up a notch with everyone.

Have fun Lisa and Olivia traveling

babenwaiting 07-25-2007 04:04 PM

Losing4, So good to see you again, and hear that you're planning to be on board with us come Labor Day. I completely understand your eating with your teenagers! When my son was that age, we were pasta fools together, and I loved to make his favorite desserts. His friends would come over, and we'd feast! :o You continue to have fun this Summer, and do drop by now and then!

Cheers,
Olivia

Just keeping us afloat this week!

:sunny: Hi ladies ...

Lisa, Tracy, Losing4, Mae and anyone peeking in ... Just to say hi, and that my weight is about the same as we finish out July in the next couple of days.

Hope you're all enjoying happy, lazy days as we get ready to start the last month of Summer. Have a super trip, Miss Lisa!

Olivia -

Thanks for floating us through. I am sure as summer ends we'll get back in the flow. My weight has stayed the same this week as well - but Kudos for the both of us for not gaining. Hope everyone has a great week!

Hey there Mae,

So glad to see you drop in! Good for you for not gaining. Sometimes that in itself is a victory, right? Continue to enjoy your Summer ...

Cheers,
Olivia

Hey Ladies - I guess it is weigh in day. I weigh everyday though, cross my fingers, and hope for the best. I am down one pound today -206- but I'll wait a few days before I claim it. I am going to the beach Thur - Sunday - and I know I'll need to watch the snacking and the drinking. Those little frozen drinks can pack a bunch of calories. I love to walk on the beach so I'll aim to get 4 miles in a day. I also got Lasik eye surgery last winter and I am looking forward to being able to open my eyes underwater. I have not been able to open my eyes under water since I was a kid because I've always worn contacts. Anyway - of course I don't have my dream beach body - but who knows maybe next summer I will (or as satisfied as any woman can be with her body). Hope you all are enjoying your August.

-Mae

I'm BAAAACCKK!

Sorry I've been MIA ladies. Glad to see some of you are still hanging in there.
It's been a crazy summer with activities. My mom also ended up in the hospital and was touch and go there for a while. Needless to say, my diet suffered big time. I stepped on the scale today and was dissappointed but not surprised to find myself back at 169....sigh....hoping to get back on track tomorrow, and to do 'better' today. I know that today would never survive my lack of will power as I am going out of town pretty far today travel out of but will be back home and at it tomorrow! I also am looking to the routine of getting my kids back into school mode (we homeschool) to get myself on track again. As soon as their books come, I will be starting them up and then I hope I will be more motivated. In the meantime, I cleaned out my basement big time and set up my weight bench and got my weights around so that I can start using them! Hope you all had a very nice summer regardless of the weightloss efforts (or no efforts as the case may be!)
hugs
tracyg:hug:
btw: I've been exercising pretty faithfully, probably why I haven't gained more back than I have lol! And I am pretty pleased to say that I am down to 'some' 14's! I can remember exactly the last time I wore a 14, it was the summer before my son was born 12 years ago! I remember being disgusted when I had to buy 'dressy pants' for the church camp I was going to and having to buy a 14, who knew then how happy I'd be when I was putting 'down' and '14' in the same sentence lol! But there it is! I have a trip coming up in October, so hoping to get solidly into 14's by then and maybe some 12's?
Hugs

Mea- Those drinks are so good though. I say enjoy them when you can :D

Tracy- Nice to see a post from you. I think we have all fallin off track some this summer. It's so easy to do with everything that goes on during the summer days. My hat goes off to you and home schooling...It's hard enough to get my daughter back into to school mode and she goes to public school. She got into the habit of staying up all night and sleeping all afternoon ...slowing getting her back into normal people hours  School starts the 20th so we still got alittle time...thank goodness I haven't done much school shopping either  Way to go On the 14. I just got myself back on track and lost a couple of pounds. Still up from what I lost before the summer gain:( .....BUT I'm getting there. I will be joining the gym once my daughter is back in school :D Can't wait ..it's been years since I went to a gym

babenwaiting 08-11-2007 10:48 AM

:sunny: Happy Saturday, all! :sunny:

It's great to see you all checking in! Tracy, so those measurements are dropping ... YEAH! So proud of you for continuing to exercise, and bumping into those 14's. Keep up the good work.

Mae, good for dropping another pound. Every one counts, and that's one that you hopefully won't see again! :)

Losing, sounds as though you really enjoy your summer with your daughter, and that's wonderful! I am also looking forward to getting back on the exercise machines again in a few weeks. My body needs it badly, so so we can re-start together, okay? :^:

I guess Lisa is traveling now, and sure hope she's having a great time. I've been away for a few days on an "eating and drinking, no exercise" trip so my weight is up a pound or two, but I knew that would happen. I'm going to have a lot to make up for when I get serious about my diet this Fall!

Have a good weekend, everybody. :flow2:

Cheers,
Olivia

Bit of a Binge

Hey all! :^: I had a great time at the beach - even with my skinny friends. It was fun hanging out with the girls until 2:30 am and gossiping about any and everything. With this horrible heat wave engulfing the southeast :sunny:- I was happy to be near waves and water. I think I gained only one pound back at the beach (despite walking everyday) - But I sorta went on a binge yesterday, Monday, and could not get myself to work out at all. I was too scared to weigh myself today - I just knew the scale would show a pound or two increase. - So tonight after work I've got to get back on track.:woops: - Tracy - I'm proud of you staying motivated and working out. Losing - I'm still contemplating joining a gym but I think the only way I could budget it in would be to let go of my cable. Which would work for me because I'd have much lest to distract me from going to the gym. But again I live alone with my two dogs and cable is sorta like company for me. I always leave it on just have someone talking in the back ground. Well, anyway that is why I'm hesitant to act. Olivia - I hope your trips are still going well. It sounds to me like you've had a fabulous summer.:D

Take Care All -
Mae

hi there ladies

figured to get back on track I'd do an official weekly weigh in again. I am at 167.8 today. So pretty much where I was before hiatus lol. I decided that I wanted to start weights again and had luck in the past with body for life. So, I cleaned out my basement last week and set up my weights and started on monday. So, arm day, knew I'd be a little sore, and I am, cardio days, I'm good there, but I always dread leg day....today....I am one massive, (would like to say walking, but in reality, crawling is more accurate) charlie horse. I didn't have this happen before on my first day. But, I'll keep stretching through the day, gonna take a nice hot shower and hope that helps. I imagine I'll be really sore tomorrow lol! Last time I did this, my calves and thighs were so sore, I had dh break out the rolling pin and just massage away lol!:o Now, where did I put that thing....So, about 1.5 lbs and I will finally!!! hit that 20lb mark...I can't believe how long it has taken. I have a trip in October (beginning) and am hoping to take off another 10 by then...hopefully more of course! But I am secretly hoping that within a week I can change my avatar!
hugs to you all. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Happy Wednesday, girlies!

Hey there Mae & Tracy & all ... :grouphug:

So happy to see you here today. Mae, that is super that you had such a good time at the beach, and one lb. gained is NOTHING! You'll have that right back off before you can say "boo!" Mae, I have to say that if I lived alone, I definitely would keep my cable! You don't want to be miserable ... just force yourself to shut if off and get to the gym! :D Good luck with that!

Tracy, sounds like you're getting a jumpstart on our post-Labor Day healthy program action, and I'm sort of doing the same. I weighed 226 lbs. today, and said, darn it, I'm home for a couple of weeks so it's time for action! I did water aerobics today, and am trying to stay at 1300 calories. I've got to get this fat tummy reduced because I'm sure that is the bigger part of my digestive problems. :(

Tracy, I wish I could send you a cyber massage and a couple of Motrins for your sore arms and legs. It will be worth it in the end, of course. Good for you!

Well, ladies, I plan to do water aerobics again tomorrow, and possibly walk VERY early because of the heat later. Wish me luck, and the same to you all with your healthy endeavors!

Cheers,
Olivia :flow2:
