Ah. Godwin's Law. I believe this means you've lost, Ell. What are they doing in that cartoon? Cracking nuts?

When using Wikpedia to slash someone, it's best to make a practice of reading all the way to the bottom. The article ends thusly:

"Godwin's Law can itself also be abused, as a distraction or diversion, to fallaciously miscast an opponent's argument as hyperbole, especially if the comparison the argument made were actually appropriate."

You see, invoking Godwin's law in this case WAS fallacious miscasting: a suggestion that snuggling with Imus is, in fact, synonymous with Eva Braun snuggling with Hitler (they are obviously cracking nuts; they ALWAYS cracked nuts after snuggling. EVERYBODY knows that) is inargueably appropriate.

A stalemate, perhaps, but never a checkmate, Cowp dear. I can tell that you are growing fonder of me by the minute.

Cool now stop that

Ooooh. Does this mean I'm going to have to start a new thread?

Wabby -

My kids have 5 days off. Didn't we just have Easter holidays???Tuesday is Labour Day here so everyone gets that off and they figure they may as well let the school kids have Monday off just for fun and then I find out that the 13th graders are writing exams on Wednesday so the younger grades get that day off too. And let's not even mention Whitsun and Ascenscion Day - more days off there. I may as well home school the little nippers.

Went to the doc this week. Apparently I'm very anemic and have chronic sinusitus and otitis media with efflusion, also commonly known as "glue ear" in my left ear. Uggghh. No wonder I feel like this. Going to other doc on Thursday who will make me all better.

Well, there's your problem. Labor Day is supposed to be in September, no wonder they're confused... I hope you are soon feeling better, sounds pretty miserably. And gluey.

I can't possibly keep up with you two. I must go pack and drive to Boston and associate with young adults.
