Sorry I havent been around much the past few days, I went from a 3 day migrain to Thrush to stomach virus. I still have thrush but it will go away eventually. Hope you are all well!! Chat tomorrow for sure! Courtnie~ I'm in, I'll post there now! |

I also think that if soup is going to be considered a water intake so should veggies,pop,coffee,tea,etc. I consider soup to be a meal in itself. Yep, I prefer it the old way... |
Hi gals, my weekend was fun and busy. Our sledding trip was fun but I came home with a black eye after having a close encounter witha snowbank. I ate terrible on Sunday, but that is in the past now. (thus, I have no loss, but also no gain for the week) I'm on to a healthier week now.
Today I start my art class again after a 2 month break. Its gonna be such fun. I really need to get my creative level in gear again. I have lots of students this afternoon for lessons and then bible study tonight. Its gonna be busy but so much fun. Anne-Congrats on the loss. Hang in there with the dissappointment of the small loss. You're doing the work and the scale will keep showing it. Slow is much better than not moving. I know for me personally, I am going to start subtracking points if I eat something bad :) but we dont have to change the rules, haha

Hi ya'll! This has not been a very good month for our family or me. Example last week we sat in the ER with dd and a speeding teen drove down our road and didn't have time to stop of course. To dh and my relief she didn't freeze and stand there. She said she closed her eyes and jumped. She's over her sprained ankle. The vechile did somehow get her shoe and carried it down the road. She had a few scratches and nicks on her fingers, hands, and one wrist. So needless to say I've lost track on the paper I was counting points on for the second week. Last week I didn't even keep track! I was sick and still don't feel the best but I'm doing better. I kinda went back to putting me last. I know I shouldn't so I working on turning that around again. Well, I'm off to get caught up on the reading. Hope everyone's doing good today.

i gald to hear you dd is ok. I don't blame you for putting yourself last in that situation if it happened to one of my kids I would of did the same. Best of luck.

I'm fine Wendy. My knees are messed up but I can walk. Everyone says I'm extremely lucky. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and they said I should have been seriously hurt. God was watching over his black sheep today. :)

Oh Shari, I'm glad you are OK, take it easy with the exercise for awhile. What a scary thing to happen, I remember the accident I was in when I was 20.

hsmom-I'm so happy that your DD was not seriously hurt. You are so lucky. I cant even imagine the stress you've been through. I hope you can take a day just for you soon, but you definetly had to shift your focus.
Shari-I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt. Take care of those knees and if they are still sore in a week maybe you should get them looked at. Congrats on the apt. Wendy-did you make it up early for your DVD? Hope things are off to a great start for your challenge. Courtnie-Hope your challenge goes well. I couldn't think of anything to give up this year. Actually I've never really given anything up for Lent before either. I'm not sure why. Well, my life will be very busy until Easter. Lots and lots of music to learn and play. I am very relieved the choir is not doing a cantata because that helps lower my stress tremendously. I'm trying to not go back on my *antidepressant* and use the natural version this season. I'm not sure its strong enough but with all thats going on in my body I feel like I should at least try to stay off what I can. |

Dd and I just talked about lent yesterday. Ro- How you doing? Anne - How's the fitness club going? Are your children handling it better? Wendy - Did you get your 40 day challenge in? Yesterday, dh came home from work early with a stomach bug the same one dd woke up with. Both of them are fine now, but ds isn't eating today. :-( I'm trying to get back on track but am having a really hard time with it for some reason. I've got to work on more laundry. I've never enjoyed doing laundry. I have been thought since we were able to get a new dryer with our income tax. |

Here are some changes for game 14, see if you all agree to them ok?
Add Points Exercise 2 Points for every half hour of exercise *HALF points are allowed* Water 1 point for every 1/4 gallon/1 litre/32 oz. Meals 2 points for every healthy meal (max 3 meals a day) Snacks 1 point for every healthy snack 1 point for not eating anything after 7:30 PM Minus Points -deduct 2 points for every unhealthy meal -deduct 1 point for every unhealthy snack If there is anything else you would like to add just PM me!!! |

Morning ladies. I hope you're all having a great day. I had a really good night at church and choir last night. We had an effective rehersal and we agreed to rotate with the bell choir and only practice every other week during lent. This will be SO nice. We've never done it and I'm hoping it works well so we'll always do this during advent and lent.
I'm off to the art store to pick up some supplies today. I'd like to get going on a new project today. Hopefully things will fall into place. The points look ok, but my dinners sometimes dont happen until after 7:30 so I wont subtract points for eating a healthy dinner no matter what time it is. Wendy-good job on the exercise! hsmom-I hope your family is all feeling better. |
I think they look great.
I like the idea of the after 7:30 thing and I dont because they say it doesnt really matter what time you eat! but i think its a good addition and will really help some of us who tend to snack in the evenings. |

Ya, I was thinking about that 7:30 thing. I mean if you usually eat around that time it wouldnt work right so how about we change it to 8:30? We eat at 6:00 here so I may want a handful of grapes before 8:30, as long as it's a healthy snack right? I tend to snack at around 10:00 at night for some reason thats why I threw that in there. Today will be going to the bank, working out and doing some laundry, what excitement! LOL! Have a good one! |

Wendy, when does the new game start? I'm feeling better after sleeping all day yesterday and taking some Advil. I'm going back to work tomorrow. I called my apartment manager and was told that they haven't started working on my apartment yet which means my move in date has been pushed back. Which is fine with me, I understand that there were alot of other tenants ahead of me (that's why I wasn't able to get a two bedroom). That also gives me more time to get the gas company out there and get a truck to move all my stuff. I also have to start looking for a night job because part time at the VA isn't going to pay all my bills. |
The new game will start on Feb 26th! So next Monday!
Well, I did it I got my exercise in and I'm 100% I'm going to be very sore tomorrow but I'll work through it! Tonight my folks are coming over for dinner, I'm making thai chicken with angel hair pasta, not TO fattening so I'll be happy to eat it! See ya! |
Happy Friday Gals! Hope everyone is off to a wonderful start this morning. I've done my 4 mile walk already and I think that'll be all the exercise for me today. I have had a headache since Monday and its seems to be increasing its intensity up to Migraine since Wed. I'm calling the Chiropractor as soon as he opens.
Shari-glad you're feeling better. Good luck finding a second job. You must be so excited about your new apartment. Wendy-Great job on the exercise! Hope your family dinner was nice last night. So I'm interested in joining this game for #14, but am curious -- where do you post the points? I've gone through a few pages and can't see any anywhere. Do you all just keep track on your own and then post at the end?

Shelby~What we do is have a seperate thread for the points. We are stickied in the Support group section one thread is called "Beat the Bulge" and the other is called "BTB points". If you go to the Support Groups section there will be a list of "Sub-forums".Scroll down till you see the "Threads in Forum" and we are right below that in the "stickied" section! Hope you can find us ok!

I've only ever had the veggie sushi from Earls before and I liked that but I'm kinda scared to try REAL sushi.

I had weigh in today and was up 0.2....its like I am plateauing already...and its only been a month and a half! But its all good...it will come off eventually! We are going out tonight for my birthday...its actually monday, but hubby is taking me out tonight! I have to pick where we go and I am stumped!! I can't wait to have a night out with no kids and just hubby and I! Birthday cake doesnt count in the diet does it!!! LOL Have a great weekend all! Anne |
