Default Challenges!

Time for a few challenges!

How is everyone doing? What are your goals for this week? I think we need to think that through today, and make some plans! So in view of that, here are the challenges I propose:

1. Make a goal for this week. Share it! At the end of the week, we can talk about whether we realized our goals....

2. Water and workout for a Week! This is the WWW challenge! Get in your workouts, your water, and post on the exercise board.

Good Morning! I am sorry I was MIA a lot over the weekend. (Of course, I was not the only one! )

The party went well on Saturday. Tom actually bolted down the toilet with the help of the first guest to arrive...a young man who has helped him with the plumbing some. We got the wallboard up, primed and painted with the paint, and a lot of the rest of the room primed. Now all that is left is to finish a bit of priming and paint. Progress! Wow, it feels good!

We had about 30 folks here, and the kids swam. The water was really cold, but they did not seem to mind much. They decimated the pork bbq, chips and ice cream, but that was the whole point, so it was good to see! The last guests to arrive and leave were our Jamaican friends, and we had a blast sitting and talking to them. They are both great story tellers, and funny, so we were laughing a lot and enjoying ourselves until about 11pm! It had been a long day, and when I fell into bed, I was exhausted, but did not sleep very well as the BBQ was making me feel decidely icky. It finally seemed to settle about the time I woke up for good!

It was so hot and muggy here, we ended up turning on the air conditioner. Today looks promising...the sky is blue and the sun is shining. The weather was nice Saturday, but we had quite a storm yesterday!

Eating over the weekend was bad, bad! I had pork bbq on a whole wheat bun (the little Cobblestone Mill ones) and two hot dogs on whole wheat buns, but I got into chips, and drank beer, and ate some ice cream. Sunday, I did better, but lunch was beef wellington, and the puff pastry is not legal. We went to a friends for dinner after church, and one couple brought macaroni and cheese...and I had to eat some. The young man who made it was one of my students when he was in middle school. He made a big deal about it when I took a second spoonful of it...annoucing to the whole table that his middle school home ec teacher had just taken a second helping of his mac and cheese, and he had there fore arrived! I should have flunked him! He was actually one of my favorites.

Well, I have rambled a good bit. I hope everyone is doing well...I am looking forward to hearing how you all are doing, and what goals you will set for the week. I am working on mine and will post them when I am sure of them.

Monet: Nice challenges!! My challenge for the week is to be 100% ON PLAN for the entire week. I was really, really bad on our camping trip. I must have had about a dozen smores and chips and hot dogs with white buns and pretzels and koolaid, etc. BUT, it was a BLAST. We had so much fun. The good news is that I have no other events coming up and nothing standing in my way of the 150's!

Well, I haven't been looking at the boards too much this weekend, but I'll look over last weeks entries if I have time in a little while and maybe make some replies.

Here in the North Country...where it was minus 30 for days on end...it is 72 degrees (above zero... ) at 8:00 am. They are calling for Tstorms all day (woohoo!!) and it looks like a great day to relax and recoup after a busy weekend. But first, I have to clean the house a little and get some wash in.

Our camping trip was soooo....fun.... You know, our troop had two tents...one for them and one for me...but a couple troops came with full-blown campers!! Fifth wheelers and pop ups...I'm like...they're cheating!! That's not camping!! We didn't even have a coleman stove to cook on...only the campfire. I thought we were supposed to be roughing it. Oh, well...we did crafts and went swimming (the water was 50 degrees...I went in for about 30 seconds till my feet went numb and hurt) at the beach and went hiking on the nature trails. We saw Jupiter and it's moons on a gigantic telescope and we all got together and sang songs. The weather was perfection. Oh, and there were also the racoons running laps around my tent all night. I was nervous the first night until I realized they were looking for leftover smores adn things and they weren't going to rip my tent to shreds and kill me. I put every thing but the table cloth in the van and watched the little bandit climb on the picnic table and then leave because I didn't leave a thing for him. Then he just ran around all night. I didn't mind once I got usedto it. I'll post some picturesof the campsite and some activities onceI get them off the chip.

Okay...I have to go get changed and get my little scout off to school.

Talk to you guys later on!!

Kris

Default Good Monday Morning!

Morning all!

It looks like I'm going to be tied to the house today waiting for Lowe's to deliver a washer/dryer. That's ok, becuase I can't wait to get it! It's an all-in-one machine (not stack the same machine is both the washer and the dryer). I only have room for one machine and no way to vent a dryer. This is a convection dryer, so I'm really looking forward to getting it!

Weekend was good eating-wise. I lost .5 on my WI on Saturday. My ticker will stay the same because it does not reflect .5 losses and my weight was technically 261.5. Hopefully I'll see a little bigger drop this week at WI.

Monet--I'm glad your party went well and I'm glad you've got a new potty too! But remember what all that "a little of this and a little of that does to you."

Tech--I"m with you, I think the campers are cheating! It sounds like you had a good time--it's just important to get right back on track today!

The heat has arrived here--We may get up to 90 with a heat index around 100----YES!!!!!! For all of those who remember my whining about the winter that would never end--I will not whine about the heat--bring it on baby!

Have a great OP day everyone!

Susan

TECH: I am glad the campout went well! I agree...using a camper (even a pop up!) is cheating in my book! You were truly camping if you cooked over a campfire. We fudge a bit and use a Coleman stove and lantern when we camp.

FILLISE: You can HAVE the heat! I got the AC on, and it isn't going off until probably September! I don't mind heat...I just can't take it in anything but small doses!

Good morning Ladies

The weekend went well. It is so nice to wake up on Monday and be the same wt as you were on Friday instead of up 10 lbs. I had a legal weekend and honestly, it was so easy to do. Preparation.

Friday night we went to this new pizza buffet. I got a big salad and about 4 pcs of pizza and scraped the topping off. Then I asked the mgr if they had low carb pizza. He said they would make me one. It ended up being a bunch of veggies in a pan with cheese. It was still good.

Saturday was 2 graduation parties. I ate chicken BBQ with no bun, veggies and cheese. The second one had brats and hot dogs. I had 1 brat (no bread) and veggies and a couple meatballs. We met some people for breakfast and I had a sausage and cheese omlett. It came with hash browna nd toast and I didn't touch them. Then laster we had the most wonderful dinner. A friend invited us over to swim and cook-oup. We had fabulous pork chops, steaks, green beans, potatoes and strawberry shortcake. I took a sweet potato with me and she set aside som strawberriers before she sweentened them. I skipped on the cake and just ate the strawberries and whipped cream.

I was quiet pleased with myself and realized that if you really want to do it, you can. I kept thinking about those shorts I can't zip and my upcoming vacation.

My goal this week is to have another 100% OP week with exercise every day. I was going to get up this morning and walk before work but DH left later than normal and it threw me off schedule. So I will have to get soem exercise in before the girls VB game tonight.

Monet, Girlfriend you are susposed to be good. Remember, we are helping each other stay legal. Liked your challenges. Sounds like your party was a success. Glad the plumbing is taking shape.

Tech, Glad you had a great time on the camp-out. I agree, pop-up campers are not roughing it. Then again, my idea of roughing it is a Holiday Inn. It was hot here too. In the 90's yesterday. It was 76 when I got up this morning. Back on track today. The 150"s will be here before you know it.

Susan, Congrats on the .5 loss. A loss is a loss. I think those all-in-one washer/dryers are so cool. I'm with you on the heat, the hotter the better.

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 1/2 grapefruit, coffee.
Snack: celery and pb
Lunch: chicken salad, 1/2 pc bread and cauliflower and an apple.
Dinner: pork chops, lima beans, mixed veggies.

Off to read the weekend posts. Have a great day.

TECH: Thanks for the pix! Looks like a lovely area to camp in!

JACK: Yeah, I really fell flat on my face in the legal department! Yesterday was not as bad, but the puff pastry is white flour. I am determined to be OP this week. Breakfast was two ww waffles, bacon and I used agave instead of the maple syrup... I also made espresso, and used half and half and agave instead of powdered fructose and heavy whipping cream. Not great, but legal and much better than chips, real maple syrup and stuff...

I need to go throw some clothes on and be ready to take James to work, when he finally finishes getting ready. (how did I ever raise such a tardy child???)

Howdy all- Ah the week end over and its back to normal... LOL. I had some wine over the week end and hope that won't make a difference in my weight loss. Will just have to see. My goal this week is to stay OP and drink lots of water. Its so darn hot and humid here I hate to stick my head out doors. I have pool envy!!! B- breakfast bar L- south beach pizza D- salmon, green beans and a salad. Snacks will be fruit and HB egg.

Monet- Your party sound so fun. You really had an event filled week end. LOL

Tech- Your campout sounded wonderful. I just love camping. And you did it the fun way. It would be super hard to resist those s'mores...

Fillise- I've never heard of the washer, dryer you're getting. It sure sounds interesting. Thats what I get for living back in the sticks.

Jack-K- What a good job you did with your eating!!! That really does show you theres a way to do it.

Well enough for now. Back to work!
