Question questions on ingredients:

Has anyone tried Dr. McDougall's instant soups? They are really good but I am wondering how legal they are. The Tortilla Soup has the following ingredients and has 3g of sugars:

Baked tortilla chips (not many), pre-cooked pinto beans, Dehydrated vegtables (including corn), long grain brown rice,
yeast extract, potato starch, garlic , onion, natural flavor, sea salt,
natural lime juice powder, spices, ground chilies, turmeric.

Another instant soup I like lists pasta (hard wheat flour, tapioca flour, sea salt, wheat gluten, guar gum) as the first ingredient.....also has dehydrated coconut, guar gum and xanthan gum (those are all at the end of the list)....are those all bad? The package lists 3g of sugar per serving.

Any advice is much appreciated!!
