sugarbusters and pcos
 

i'm new to 3fat chicks and love it. I hadn't heard of sugarbusters before and after looking thru some of the threads think that I might benefit from it. Am tracking down the book at the library at the moment so hope to be able to read it today. I have pcos/insulin resistant (stong family history) and high blood pressure - diabetes tests ok at present but have 150+ pounds to lose and am concerned about my health in general. I would like to hear from anyone else in same position. Also any relation to post natal depression? :?:

I also have insulin resistance from PCOS, and my doctor recommended this diet,,,I used it, but I modified it because my doctor specifically said not to eat some of the items that are used in the recipes...I modified it by basically eating a piece of meat and several portions of vegetables, sandwiches on whole wheat, and whole wheat pasta. I lost 60 lbs. in two months....I gained most of it back, so I am starting over,,,,Just wanted to say hi, and that this diet can work even if you have the ever-humiliating PCOS...
