Default Yes -- we are Expanding

. . . No, not our waistlines -- those are definitely shrinking -- we are expanding our focus to include all of the newer GI/GL healthy eating plans that have been emerging lately (except South Beach, which does have it's own forum) as well as the original of the genre, Sugar Busters.

You will find lots of answers in the FAQ sub-forum and tons of good eating alternative in the RECIPES sub-forum. Although most of the information is currently related to Sugar Busters, you will find that it is pretty all general enough to serve for any of the GI/GL type plans.

So. . . if you are trying one of these plans, or if you are just curious to find out what all the talk is about, come on over and join us. We will hope to see you soon and are looking forward to getting to know you better . . . :

I'll keep and eye to see who shows up. If this turns into a more appropriate place for me than the low carb forum, I will move over but I don't want to be the only one over here.

There are already bunches of Sugar Busters over here, PETRA so you would not be lonely.

Whether it would be more suitable than the low carb forum would, I guess, depend on your individual focus -- these plans are more "good carbs" rather than "low carbs" -- although there is certainly a lot of cross-over.

I had been doing protein power for awhile but was not making much progress. I decided to try something a little different. It's a long story which got wiped out with the recent server problem but basically I'm doing a sugar busters/zone hybrid so I actually belong over here. Because I had been on the low carb board and had "friends" over there and I would be a little bit strange here I decided to stay where I was on the "other than atkins" board although I find myself having to explain myself a lot to newbies. Still it would be no fun having a conversation with myself here.

I actually came over here and used their support thread for about a week and everyone was very nice and helpful but I felt like I was crashing someone else's party. Obviously, I don't expect to find someone else doing exactly the same thing I am but it would be nice to have a generic low GI group.

I agree PETRA . . . I'm a strong believer in the low GI lifestyle but I don't "do" any particular plan . . . kind of the basics that seem to run through all the low GI plans with a little bit of Volumetrics thrown in for me.
