We will all miss you very much, Ellen, but you have to do what is best for you and that comes first. I hope you get back to feeling your old self again soon. We all go through those periods where we just feel out of it and a little down. Please know I'll be thinking of you and thank you for all the support you have given us.

Blessings,
Chris

Default Howdy ya'll

Oh man I leave for a couple of days and things change...Ellen I'm so sorry to hear that you are leaving as moderator. You are SO loved and I am glad that you are going to still be a member. This group grounds me and I would miss your participation.

Today I picked another mess of green beans and got a big surprise on the zuchinni row...there were two huge zukes there. I didn't even realize they had set yet...LOL The squash are miniatures but I'm gonna cook em for dinner any how. Jess put in the last two rows of veggies today. He loves his mama.

Welcome Ladybug! ((hugzz)) This way of eating is awsome and the members here are a wealth of information. Praise God on being a cancer survivor.

It is so so hot today. I need to walk since I haven't in forever and a day. So I guess after dinner that is where I'll be...walk walk walking. How is everyone this week?

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Smile Hi

Hello everyone!

I am new to the site. I actually think I joined the 3FC Forum years ago, but as my diet went by the wayside, I quit posting.

I just received my SugarBuster book in the mail. I'm not sure I understand how it works.

I noticed in the back of the book a food pyramid, but the drawing was so small I couldn't read it (showing my age I guess! haha).....I have a list of the good foods/avoid foods, but not sure how much of each I can have.
For example...are you allowed WW breads more than once a day?
So I guess that's my question, is there a daily allotment for each food group?

I hope this question hasn't been asked a million times, and I would appreciate any info you can give!

Muchas gracias from S. Tejas!

hey Everyone,

Wow Ellen--I am so sorry to hear you are giving up your mod position. I know it's what you need to do right now, and I really miss seeing you post. I wil still continue to look for your stop in posts.

Again I am pressed for time. I actually was able to take 3 hours on sunday and just RELAX in the sun with a book before i had to work. I was so susprised. Eating has been so much better and I have been at the gym a decent amount so I am happy. Weight loss is down another pound of so. I actually saw 169.5 on Sun am but I think I was dehydrated. LOL since then It is back to 171.0 or 170.5 HAHA I am hoping for Fri to make it to 169 flat. I was super hungry yesterday afternoon though so I stopped at the store and bought a bag of SF Choc peanuts. (I was out and had already had by bar and apple along with my lunch before I left) I was plenty full with a tummy ache after that. HA

I have been trying to keep up at least reading here and there with how everyone is doing. Welsome ladybug and puppet.

Puppet_ as far as limiting things..You should but I found at the begining I lost weight anyway just cutting out the sugar. Getting adjusted to the new way of Eating is tough so as long at your eating "Legal" foods portions arn't such a big deal right now. That said bread is consitered a starchy carb and should be limited 2-3 max a day. If you have any other question feel free to post them and someone will be able to answer you!!!

Everyone else Sorry I don't have time to indiviual posts...Have an awesome day!!!

~M

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the welcome!

Today is my official first day on SugarBusters.

Gymrat: Thanks for the encouragement! It is kind overwhelming at first, but i keep trying to tell myself that this is probably going to be my life! I'm almost fifty, and I want to get this weight off! Funny, just wanting it to happen hasn't worked much so far! haha..guess I'll have to actually apply myself!

Ellen: Thanks for answering my questions about Agave. I received my order yesterday...and coffee this morning was delicioso! I hope you still post from time to time!

Has anyone baked w/ Agave? I like making my own bread (although i do use a bread machine)...anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I'm curious, have most of you lost all of your weight while on SugarBusters?

I hope everyone has a great day!

adios for now, dee

Good evening everyone. I'm late today for some reason. Just got myself a cup of green tea and sat down for a break. I've got taco soup bubbling on the stove for dinner. Steve doesn't get home till about 8 for dinner so I'm early not late. Eating hasn't been to good but I keep trying.

Dee- I feel the very best when eating this way. Its such a good way for your family too. After you get the hang of it, its really easy to eat this way. Glad you're here. Ask lots of questions.

155- Hope everything went well at the doctors. And he thinks you did very good losing 20 lbs.

Ellen- Glad to see you. Hows it going in your world.

Gym- good for you. You're doing so good and a real inspiration.

Crystle- Wow your garden is doing well. I just got my tomatoes out. I love hearing your summer stuff.

Chris- A great big howdy.

Solly- They're making my lens right now. So it will be later this week. I can't wait. You sound busy.....

Well off I go. Have a good night.

Default Howdy

Good morning. I'm sitting here having some quiet time before I have to go outside and pick beans. Today is one of those days where I just feel lazy but know there are things to be done.

Dee...I did lose all of my weight on sugar busters. Originally it was 80 pounds and I kept it off for about 4 or so years. I had an accident and felt sorry for myself so I went to eating comfort foods and junk. That put on close to 40 pounds. But since being back on SB I've lost all but the last 15. I've used agave to back with several times. Just the other day I made some brownies. They were a tad dry but it wasn't the agave it was my recipe. I see you are from S. Texas. I'm in E. Texas. You'll get the hang of this way of eating before you know it. Once you get the basics down you won't even have to think about it, it will become second thought.

Toni...WTG with keeping on trying. That is all any of us can do. If we fall down we just have to get back up. The last couple of weeks I've really been struggling with my fats.

Gym...good to see you ladybug. Awesome on getting in the 160's. Keep up the good work. I bet come Friday you will see that number again.

Solly...I got in one day of walking this week. Hopefully tonight will make number 2. I was not ready for this heat yet. How is your week going?

Bob...Are you alright? I sure miss hearing from you.

155..woo hoo on the 20 pounds. I hope the Doctor acknowledges your efforts and that you get good reports if you have test.

RiceKrispy...how are you doing this week? It looks like everyone is pretty busy.

Heartmom..Hope you ain't working too hard.

I've put off getting off my duff as long as I can. ((Everybody)) If I don't mention your name please know EACH of you is important. I love hearing from everyone at the board. I hope and pray ya'll are having a great week and if you are struggling hang in there.

God bless,
Crystle

Hey guys. I wanted to let you know that Boogie has been wearing a Holter Monitor the last couple weeks or so. Well we phoned in a couple of episodes the day before yesterday and yesterday his nurse called and wants us in to see Dr.Games tomorrow. Dr.Games is not his cardiologist. He is the cardiologist that does the pacemakers. So not a good sign. Robby and I are both taking off work to go tomorrow. I'll let you all know the outcome. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I'm very nervous since he's been "fine" for the last several years and now this.

Hi Laura! I'm new to the site and just read your post. Please know that I will be praying for you and your family!

Crystle: A big Tejas howdy to ya! 80 lbs!!! I can't even imagine losing 5! haha. I can tell it's gonna take some time for me. I was shocked how many times during the day..because of stress or whatever...I headed for sugar or caffeine today! Oh well, one day at a time!

I've got family in East Texas...Sour Lake, Beaumont, Livingston areas....sure is pretty that way. I'm in the land of mesquite trees, cactus and salt water!

adios for now, dee
