Good Morning~
Another snow day for me....the joys of being a teacher!!!! I have decided that I am not doing any holiday baking....I simply can't. I would eat my way through the recipe. I am making a buffalo chicken dip for Christmas Eve and that is it, everyone else is bringing stuff. I hope you all are having a great day!! |
Oh
My Gawd I don't know what the heck I was thinking --- clearly NOTHING. I totally forgot to log in yesterday....dah..... I ate excellent food - lots of veggies .... too much cheese though......anyway yesterday was: NO SUGAR EXERCISED ATE 3 MEALS today I started out with a veggie omelette Yay me.......yay US!!!! Sounds like everyone is motoring along in high gear!! Ray xo |
Morning all! The fog was so thick coming into work this morning, I could barely see my hand in front of me. I hate it when it is like that. I work at a hospital and I have to be here at 7 so I am good to be able to see my way in:D
I guess I will just stick with the new version of the book and not purchase the older one. Sounds like I have it covered between the book and this board! I am doing pretty on food. Coffee and eggs for breakfast, salad and/or veggie soup for lunch, fish or chicken, brussel spouts for dinner. Sometimes I am having a small apple w/peanut butter an hour before bed as it helps my glucose reading the next morning. Look ok to you all? |
Good morning. The carpet layers are here and I'm having to stay in the backroom with the dogs. LOL..... Thank goodness theres a computer in here. Its boring as all get out. Eating started out bad today I had a bolonga sand. for breakfast at 6 this morning. I had to grab something and there was no time for anything else.
Mom- Where do you live? I'm in Missouri and we're getting snow Sat. night. Monet- Oh wow I would love to find those fries. jakebabe- Good luck on the eating. Donna- I have dial up to and its sure a pain in the butt. We're to far out in the country to get high speed internet. Okay going for a peek out the door way. |
Not sure if we can mention certain stores on here but you can get the sweet potato fries at the big store with the blue sign that everyone shops at - it starts with a "W"!
|
That must mean Wal Mart thank you I'm going there Friday and will check it out.
|
Toni,
I live in New Hampshire. I love sweet potato fries and the chips as well!! |
JAKEBABE: You can mention stores on here. That is fine. There is a strong policy on links, mainly to keep it comfortable and non commercial, but mentions are just fine! I got my sweet potato fries at Publix. never noticed them before, though I bet they have had them a while.
TONI: Well, at least you have a computer to be amused with! :) I would spend the time playing spider solitaire! MOM: Whoa! You are way up there! Are you getting buried in snow? |
The snow just stopped....we tried sledding, but to be honest, there was too much snow if that makes sense? The poor boys just sank!!
|
Checked all my stocking stuffers last night. They are not even but oh well. They will get over it.
Tonight we have 8 people coming for dinner. I love doing it, but prep is too much. Mom, I love that dip. I know what you mean about the baking, I am barrelling my way through ours. I'm going to look like a barrel soon. Ray, you definately are on the right track. Jaque, your menu looks good to me. Maybe add another fruit. I have found the SP fries at Whole Foods and Wild Oats Toni, at least you will have your carpet down in time for Christmas. Monet, can you play levels 2 & 3 on Spider Solitare? I just cannot figure it out or do much good anyway. Mercee, Enjoy your time off. My DD is off until then also. Me, just the 2nd. Bob, Rudy is getting nothing if he doesn't stop going to the potty on my basement floor. For some reason, everytime we go down there, he pees on the floor. I even sprayed perfume all over it. He was not speaking to me last night. Feel better soon and don't give it to Kate. Donna, try Deb's cheesecake on the recipe board. It is great and easy. Take something for your and be prepared. Got to run, will talk to you tomorrow. Have a great evening. :hohoho: :elf: |
Just got back from the Drs office. It's official....I have viral gastroenteritis ....He told me to come home and DO NOT KISS KATE IN THE MOUTH!!! (he's her Doc too) I'm not to return to work until after Christmas...and I'm not to eat anything heavy....I've been living on boiled eggs and toast as it is!
So here I am...I know I'm hated at work, but Doc says I'm contageous (sp?) Sorry for not addressing everyone.... JACKIE...Get some "Urine Off" and see if that helps...it costs about $20 a bottle, but my Vet swears by it... Later BOB |
I am glad to hear we can mention store names!
Do try the sweet potato fries - at Wal Mart they are with the other french fry items. I really like them. I also had bought some golden organic sweet potato fries at another store and I did not like them at all! I am looking for Kates Lasagne recipe. Can someone direct me to where it is? |

Evening buster buddies; Well the carpet is laid and I'm pooped. Got the bed set up and most of the livingroom put back together. Now the rest of the house and all the nick knack stuff. And tons of blankets. Where there going I don't know. Tomorrow the gutter guy is supposed to come and do the guttering.
jakebabe- I just copied it over from my computer. Bob- So sorry you got the nasty bug. Rest well and get rid of it. Solly- I never thought Jackson would get house broken I swear it took him a year. Thank goodness I didn't have the new carpeting. You sound like you've got it all together for Christmas. Hope your dinner turns out good. Mom- Boy you got lots of snow. Just keep it there. Monet- Was glad to get out of the room. And back to my computer in the livingroom. Did you get all your orders done and out the door? Got to go. Have a good evening. |
Thanks for the tips. I'm going to check out Deb's cheese cake & take it along with me. We'll be at my daughter's for four days - I'll need to find things to take with me to replace chips and sugary pop as well. It's going to be a challenge, but I'm telling myself I should just fill my plate with good food and then enjoy the visiting and stay away from the food table.
One of my friends was telling me that I had good will power because I wasn't going to the cookie exchange a bunch of ladies were having. I told her I DON'T have very good will power, and THAT was why I wasn't going! I take my hat off to those of you who have kids at home that NEED cookies baked and you still are able to leave them alone yourself. Monet - hope James makes it home ok. Do you have other kids and do they live nearby or far away? I have four grown kids and the closest one lives 2 hours away- she has a seven month old daughter so we visit her quite a bit. The other 3 are in Alberta (about 10 and 12 hours away). The last few years we've gotten together in the summer instead of having them brave the winter weather up here in Canada. Summer visiting is nice, but Christmas is a little different without having them here. Next year should be fun when our granddaughter is old enough to enjoy it all. Donna |
