Opps missed last week. I just haven't wanted to get on the computer. I did lose 2 lbs. and hope I lose something tomorrow. Eating has been pretty good and I have been walking on my treadmill. I'll do replies next time.
-
Checking in the scale is barely moving, in the past 2 weeks I have only lost 1 lb. and my husband has gone back to work full-time and is starting to slack on his commitment to diet and exercise. Buying foods that aren't the best for us and wanting to just lay around in the evenings before going to work. I know I'm an adult and I should be able to forge ahead in my commitment to eat right and exercise regularly with out with out him. (Not easy to do when there are things like chips and dip in the house) It is very hard, when he pouts at me. Sat night he just had to have apple pie w/ice cream and I gave in and ate some <sigh>. So ya'll please pray, cross your fingers, send psychic good thoughts my way so that I can stick with this for the long haul and possibly turn my husband back toward the right path.

Morning! I just came in from 60 minutes of water aerobics. I am really trying to get it in first thing in the morning, so I don't get busy and it gets left out. I had a long frustrating weekend. The party for Kaeleb's birthday was fun, but lots of frustration getting ready for it, and of course no one wanted to help clean up after it. Grrr. Today I want to spend some time working. I want to throw mugs, and some small cereal bowls.
ROSEMARY: A dose of reality often helps. Go read up on what obesity and uncontrolled blood sugar will do to you. Share it with your husband. It just is not worth eating crap when you feel so much better eating right. I will be praying for you. It is very hard to stay committed when your spouse sabotages your efforts!

Good morning, well it's almost noon.
Had a great weekend. But eating was not great. I guess if we stayed home I could control it, but when we are gone almost the whole 2 days, it goes down hill.
Sort of quiet here today. I have lots of filing to do. Yuk! I did get up early and walking for 35 minutes. Tonight maybe I can get back to the gym.
Monet, I'm sorry the weekend was frustrating. You should just make them help you clean up. Tell them ahead, you are not having it unless the help. Good job on the exercise this morning. I like getting it out of the way too.
Rosemary, It is hard when your DH is eating junk in front of you. Refuse to buy it and tell him you are only thinking of him. If he wants jucnk, he will have to get it at work. I have enough trouble sabatoging myself, I don't need a husband to add to it.
Tech, How cute, Kyle not the fish. Congrats on your loss. You are on your way.
Bob, glad you are stocked up and ready to go.
Talitha, way to go on the loss. Where are those pics?
Got to run. Have a great day.

Thanks Monet & Solly, ya'd think after losing a toe to diabetes, my DH would have really learned his lesson. His sugar levels did get much better because we were following a good diet and exercising for the past 2 months while he was at home. I had hoped that would have made him stay committed to the changes. I'm hoping once those SG levels start creeping back up he'll wise back up. If he keeps up his current mode of eating it wont be long <sigh>

I am so bummed today. I gained a lb. of the two lbs. I lost last week. My body is just plain crazy. I've had my oatmeal this morning with a small glass of O.J. and this evening will probably have chicken breast with broccoli for dinner. Also got my walking done on the treadmill. Got to get hold of myself and quit feeling so down about my weight.
Rosemary-My DH is not eating right at all. He knows how and is just doing terrible with his eating. And of course he's feeling so crappy and wonders why. There's nothing really you can do but set a good example and as he sees the lbs. coming off you and you doing well maybe it will spur him on to eat right. Good luck to you.
Solly- Good job with the exercising. I'm trying to walk twice a day on the treadmill. But that evening walk is soooo hard. Sounds like you had a really busy week end. Its so hard to eat right when you're on the run.
Monet- Wow did you get the water arobic's in. Good for you. Hope you get time to do some pottery work.
Well guess I'll go and see what I can get into.

Morning! I am feeling a bit crabby this morning...slept poorly I guess. Also, I definitely over did it on the exercise yesterday so I am feeling sore and stiff. I did an hour of water aerobics, took a walk with Tom after dinner, then got back in the pool with him and did another 30 minutes of water aerobics.
Dinner last night was Tonkatsu. That is Japanese breaded pork tenderloin. I used the whole wheat panku bread crumbs I found and they are AWESOME! I got them on Amazon, and unfortunately, you have to buy a case. So, I have eleven bottles of them! If anyone is interested in trying them, I might be persuaded to ship you a bottle of them to try. I think they would be awesome on oven fried chicken, or fish. They are Ian brand, and are about $2.25 for a bottle. I used half for our dinner last night.
Today, I have to pull handles and work some more. I have put a good number of things on my Etsy shop but nothing has sold, so I am feeling a bit discouraged. I am going to work myself into the poor house if I don't find a way to pay for my clay!
Ok, enough whining. I hope everyone has a terrific day!
TONI: Don't fret those two pounds! They could be anything! Water, what you ate for dinner that has not processed yet.... Your weight WILL fluctuate daily, so it is much better to weigh only once a week.

Good morning ladies,
Just got here after my echocardiogram. It was no big deal. Of course, I had a bow in one of the walls of my heart so they had to start an IV and inject water bubbles to see if I had a hole and that was fine so then they injected a gas or something to see how the chambers moved or something. The tech said everything looked fine. Call tomorrow for the full report. Waste of time and money.
We were going to walk last night and I told my DD I needed 10 minutes to pull some weeds. Well that 10 minutes evolved in over an hour. She helped me and we had 8 grocery bags full. That is disgusting considering we have lawn service. Think I will be making a call to them today. So after all that bending and stooping my legs were hurting. I guess pulling weeds can be counted as exercise. I did get up and get 2 miles in this morning. It was actually cool watching the lunar eclipse while I walked.
Toni, that 1 lb is probably gone today. Hang in there you are doing greate.
Monet, sorry you are crabby today. Wow, you did get a lot of exercise in yesterday. Take it easy and don't push too hard. What is Etsy?
Better get going here since it is 9:30 and I haven't done anything. Have a great day.

SOLLY: Etsy is an online sight for artists and craftsman to sell their work. I have a shop on there. It is kind of like an ebay for artists, but it is not an auction, there are set prices. Yes, weeding counts as exercise!

I want to shoot my coworker...lol. Ok - the level of frustration at work is high, too much work and it wont let up anytime soon. So someone filled our candy jar with hersheys miniatures. The way I'm feeling today I could personally eat the whole jar before 5pm! <sigh> I'm weak, I've had 4 of them since lunch time!

ROSEMARY: Stick with the special dark ones. At least they are close to being ok...70% cocoa solid chocolate is ok for a small treat now and then.

Good morning,
Well it's not good for me. I was trying to put on my underwear this morning and went to step into it and pain shot up my right side of my back. WellI had to sit downand put on my underwear after that. But when I got into the car, I could hardly raise my foot from the gas to the brake. I couldn't change lanes b/c I couldn't sit up to look back. It is killng me to sit in this chair. I really don't want to get another shot. The last one was very painful. I know this stems from me pulling weeds on Monday. This morning when I walked, I noticed my legs and back were tight.
I feel like I am falling apart.
Dinner last night was so good. Grilled cod, green beans with new white potatoes in them, broccoli and crab cakes. Yummy.
Monet, It probably takes awhle for you to get established on Etsy. I would think it would only be other artist on there. Hope something breaks soon for you.
Rosemary. Bad girl. Stay away from the candy jar. Next time, take 2, eat one and tape the other to your hips. That's where they are going anyway. Chocolate is not my thing. I have 2 jars of mini candy bars sittingon my desk and I am not tempted. But stick some chips or other salty thing around and it's Katie bar the door. Gotta find another way to work out your stressfull days. Try some wt lifting or other exercise.
Can't sit in this position any longer. Gotta run. Have a great day.

Feeling much better today. I've stayed committed to daily exercise and this morning I spied a pair of pants I haven't tried to wear in 3 years. I'm wearing them right now and actually I remember that 3 years ago the last time I wore them I felt like a stuffed tamale. The shirt I'm wearing is also one I got a few years ago and the arms were always just a little too tight. OK I got the chocolate out of my system yesterday, wearing this today makes resisting so worth it!
Solly hope your pain subsides soon.

Good morning! I spent some time online this morning researching a new clay technique I want to try. I found a lot of examples but not much on HOW to do it. Guess I am going to have to figure it out for myself.
ROSEMARY: That is great about the clothes! Don't you feel like a million bucks?
SOLLY:
I am so sorry you are having so much trouble with your back. I can relate...leaning over the wheel is really making my back sore a lot. I hope yours clears up soon. Can you take ibuprofen, or something to help the pain? Take care my friend...I am praying for you.
Ok, now we have a ton of MIAs. SEF, THIN, TECH, BOB, FRUIT, TALITHA, FILLISE, ROSALIE, COUNTRY, ERICSMOMMY, GATOR... come on you guys. We NEED you, we NEED each other. YOU need us!

Oh my goodness I got a new laptop and I'm having so much trouble with it. My DH has to work on the settings some more before I can do posting at this site. So I'm back on my PC. Eating has been good but my walking on the treadmill has not. Hopefully I will start in the morning again, I've missed since Tues.
Monet- I'm dying to try your bread crumbs. Would you please send me some to try? Just let me know the shipping and cost of them and I'll mail a check.
Hope your back gets better.
Solly- I'm so sorry about your back too. That sounds awful. You're sure having the health problems.
rosemary- Stay out of that jar.. LOL....
Well going back to try and work on the new laptop....
