  • I would like to start a thread of those who have reached goal and now are trying to maintain their weight loss.

I hit my intended goal weight on June 10, 2001. I started SUGAR BUSTERS on March 22, 2000 at 194lbs and have gotten down to 124 (though I am up a bit today-TOM).

Even though I seem to spend my life on our SB BOARDS, (I've been the moderator of the SB BOARDS here on the 3FC'S site since April 2000), I would love to keep a thread going of those who have reached their goal weight, no matter what WOE/diet you are following. Now that I've gotten to this point, I want to stay down here and I think the more information the better.

    Anyone wish to join me????

  • KENPOMOM,

Congrats on staying at your goal weight for over a year-that's wonderful! My goodness, from a 14 to a 0/1-you are tiny! I'm happy to be in smalls and a size 6.

I think, no, I KNOW, I have finally beat my weight problem. I know it will be something I will have to watch the rest of my life, but I have never had the confidence to say that before and really believe it as well.

It sounds like what you have done with your daily diet is very similiar to what I have done which is SUGAR BUSTERS as I too eat only low-glycemic foods, cut out all the refined sugars and flours, etc. etc.-it definintely works!

Of course, exercise is important too and I think that's one of the main keys to losing the weight as well as keeping it off. I love to walk and put in 4.5 miles usually 6 days a week, but have thought about going down to 5 days-but then if I take that other day off, I feel guilty!

Glad to have you join this thread-I hope others who've reached their goal will come on board as well and tell their story and how they've been able to maintain their weight, no matter how long it's been.

I have now been at goal since June 30th 2001.Also a new member here at fatchicks.
I still follow my points to a tee and have been exercising faithfully everyday. So afraid for the weight to come back to me.I lost 31 pounds total and went down 4 sizes and lost a total of 4 inches (bust) 7 inches(waist) and 6 inches(hips)

  • Congrats Ontario Angel-we've both been at goal close to the same amount of time. I have to come up with some sort of a new goal, I feel lost now that I've reached the summit!!!
