50lbs gone, Almost there

I have only posted a few times in the beginning, but I do visit this board and several others daily to help myself stay on track. I started Atkins at Thanksgiving 2005. Yesterday morning I reached 50 lbs lost, I am still 10 lbs away from goal but it seemed like such a milestone that I have been celebrating ever since. I even went and bought a 50 lb bag of rock salt to show myself what it was like to carry the extra weight around. I bought a pair of size 12 jeans this morning, I'm not sure where I started since I had gone to wearing 38" men's jeans. I'm actually tucking my shirts in and even wearing a belt for the first time in years.

I started out going to the gym doing aerobics and weight training. But since the weather has gotten better I am attempting the Couch to 5K. Even then I am not really consistant.

Atkins has worked great for me and I don't see a problem with continueing to eat clean the rest of my life. I am going to try and work towards OWL and will probably go through a short re-induction with my daughter in a couple of weeks when she gets home from college. I am amazed how consistantly the weight has gone off. I only changed my fitday when I had reached 5 lb marks and it definately shows a pattern.

Thanks everyone for you help, I was reading and learning so much from everyone's comments, even as a lurker you still influenced me to continue on.

I cannot get photos to show up, I am trying them as an attachment.

Congratulations, Atkins has worked great for me too. I think it is a way of eating that I continue for life. That 50 lb. mark is certainly monumental. I have 9 more lbs. to lose. Good Luck on such a great job.

You look great. I cant wait to wear one of those western belts that you have on. Even the XL are too small right now, but not for long.
