This weekend I got to finally buy cutesy skinny girl clothes! I found two tops at Old Navy that were totally meant for skinny girls, and I could wear them and they looked GOOD! They're both sleeveless (a shocker in itself), but one just has little ribbons that tie over the shoulders! And they both were actually VERY flattering!
AND, as if this wasn't enough, they were both on clearance for $6! I can hardly believe my good fortune!
Thanks to everyone who's offered advice over the past few weeks for me. I've been trying to change my eating habits and focus more on toning up at the gym. And it's working wonders. I've lost nearly 2 inches off my biceps and thighs (each) in about 3 weeks!

I have to add that I am really impressed with your aviator. I've been around a few months now and I have to say each time you post a new picture your smile gets bigger and bigger and bigger.

Thanks Angel33! I notice how much my smile is growing, too! I feel so much better this time around. It's really strange how I've tried so many "diets" over the years and none has worked. This time I really feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it, and it's working! For the longest time I was sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop, you know? But now I'm starting to believe that I can actually do this for myself! It's such a great feeling, and it's really great that I can come here and talk to all of you guys about it, because I know that you're all experiencing the same things.
And Margarita, YES! it is amazing when things work out, isn't it? I have done lots of tough stuff in my days, but this is one of the hardest things I've done... It really is rewarding when you see the fruits of your labor right there in the way you look, but even moreso in the way you start to feel yourself change on the inside. Congrats on your success, too!

Yes, it does, shenanigans! It's such an amazing feeling to know that sometimes a store won't have my size and there will be sizes there that are too large! (as opposed to recent years where I'd find that a store didn't have my size just because I was too large to shop there.) It feels really strange... I'll be putting something on in the dressing room thinking "there's no way this is going to fit..." and then it does! what a boost!

Thanks Jtjoray! I'm 5'4". I have a pretty athletic build, so my goal is 155ish. Obviously I'll have to reassess when I get there to see if I like that weight, but I think it's a good start,anyway. And you look GREAT in your new avatar! Your face is getting so thin! You've lost almost 50! That's so excellent! I can't wait until I'm close to 50! 50 seems like a LOT! I keep thinking that once I've lost 50, i'll actually feel like I've lost "a lot of weight"... Thanks for the support!
