Default My "Eat whatever you want" Day so far

Thursday is my birthday, but today is the day when all the food is coming out (friend of the family who's been here for a couple weeks is leaving tomorrow morning). We're having cake (chocolate cake with strawberry filling and cream cheese frosting, soooo calorie-laden), ice cream, and sloppy joes later. I decided that since my birthday only rolls around once a year, even though today isn't my birthday, I'll eat anything I want today. What have I eaten so far?

Tortilla chips with HOMEMADE salsa
Homemade veggie and rice soup with lean ground turkey
a cup of plain rice chex
and a few fingerfulls of cake batter

I'd say that for a EWYW day, I'm doing pretty darned good. Getting plenty of water and may do a little exercise here pretty soon. It's funny how even though I set myself up to eat anything I wanted... I just don't really want much. We'll see how I'm feeling in a few hours, though

No plans on my actual birthday, except maybe a morning bike ride. We'll see how the weather shapes up!

Lydia-You had to mention the tortilla chips!! Now I'm craving them-Lucky there are none in the house! Have fun celebrating your day your way. Sounds like you're still making some healthy choices without feeling the need to! Anyways, have fun!!!

Well, here we are at the end of the day... and I'm done eating. Even with the cake, ice cream, and sloppy joes, I only went about 100 calories over my "limit" (even though I technically didn't have a limit today). Overall, I'd say I did great

Ahhh, the morning after.... it reminds me why I liked my new eating habits. I feel completely drained today. Darn cake. So good, but so bad at the same time :P

I just had a chocolate bar for dinner. It was sooooo worth it, though I'll probably regret it in the morning. Damn hormones.

Yeah, I told my mom "Next birthday... let's go with something a little lighter"

And I got a good idea for it, too! Fruit and custard tart. Not nearly as sweet and with all the fresh fruit I wouldn't feel so guilty :P
