Default Just needing to vent some

This week at work has been a little hectic. We are having reviews done by DOL. Of course they have to have all sorts of platters of food for them. I am helping clean up after they leave for the day. They have been having doughnuts and cheese and salami trays, I'm talking HUGE trays!!!!! Those are my big down falls. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, today there was this giant tray of Snicker Doodles, another big favourite. I was so proud the only thing I took was a small square of the cheese and some fruits and veggies. I was so happy that I didn't just attack the trays and take what I wanted. I am a like an alcoholic, they can't stop at 1 drink, I can't stop at 1 bite. Especially not with doughnuts or cookies. OK, Rant over! Thanks!

Hahaha I had a donut experience this morning, the guy I share an office with came in and said "you want me to cut you off a piece?" I turned and looked at him with a donut in his hand and I jumped back in my chair and said "NO!" with a look of horror, apparently. He got a real kick out of my reaction, as though he had offered me a pile of worms. LOL it really did frighten me. Is he out of his mind? Im dieting!! Of course, he is "dieting" too...
Man I love donuts. :O_

Thanks everybody. Guess it is a NSV in a way!

PeeB- People look at me like that too because any time anyone offers me something I am slowly backing up and constantly saying, " NO" They just sit there and look at me funny or start laughing. It's hard to explain it to people that have never had any problem with food. Food is like my drug. (Like Jtjoray was saying) I am now in rehab I guess you could say.

Lumifan4ever- Hope your monthly breakfast went well. I know before I would have ate all the donuts I could. I always hated to see good food get thrown away. Now I don't care I am wither throwing it away or if out in a resaurant I am putting tons of salt on it when I am through so I don't just sit and pick at it out of habit and bordom.
Thanks again everyone!!

Great job, passing on the sweets. I passed on home-made German Chocolate Cake, yesterday. It made me feel good to know that I have learned the control to pass on the foods that once made me very obese. I also passed on Mac-n-cheese and Baked beans. I just had my chicken with a slice of cheese and a pickle and was full. This was at my sisters house and she thought it was totally gross the way I eat. Oh well, it's my body.

Good for you, Lilybelle! As for your sister's attitude... it is interesting that our society tells us we are to eat and eat... every kind of junk; yet the most socially unacceptable thing of all is to be fat! They want us to eat their junk... but not get fat! Go figure.

Yah it's your body and a LOT less of it than there used to be, too! Congrats!
