Default Letter to yourself

Some folks may have already seen something like this, but a friend posted this on a Live Journal and I thought it was great... Copy, paste, and fill in your own stuff! We often focus so much energy on what we do that's "bad" that it's good to remind ourselves that we are also doing an awful lot of good things, too...
******************************************

Dear Me,

This note is long overdue. I wanted to thank you for __(neat thing you did/are doing)__ the last few months. That's quite a change from last year! It makes me feel __(happy, proud, etc)__, knowing that you're looking out for me, and working so hard to ___(what's the overall goal?)___. I believe that, come __(deadline)__, I will have successfully __(specific goal)__. Heck, even if I don't, I'm still thankful for the little changes you've made, such as __(little change)__.

To show my appreciation for all you've done, I'm going to do something nice for you. That's right, I'm going to __(REWARD!)__, because you deserve it.

Love, Me

Default Here's mine...

Dear Lala,

This note is long overdue. I wanted to thank you for really comitting to exercise the last few months. That's quite a change from last year! It makes me feel proud, knowing that you're looking out for me, and working so hard to get healthy again. I believe that, come December 31, I will have successfully lost 52 pounds. Heck, even if I don't, I'm still thankful for the little changes you've made, such as lowering my blood pressure and cholesterol.

To show my appreciation for all you've done, I'm going to do something nice for you. That's right, I'm going to get my hair highlighted at my next haircut, because you deserve it.

Love, Lala

haha, mine will be slightly modified:

Dear Veggie,

Thank you for exercising and eating healthy foods. You must remember that weight loss isn't important to you, and your physical and mental health is a priority. Thank you for caring so much about me. To show you my appreciation, I have given you added energy and confidence. Enjoy it, and continue to do what you love doing, keeping me healthy.

Sincerely yours,
my body.

Ooo, what a fun idea!

Dear Me,

This note is long overdue. I wanted to thank you for paying more attention to me in the last few months. That's quite a change from last year! It makes me feel comforted, knowing that you're looking out for me, and working so hard to become an all-around better you. I believe that, come summer vacation, I will have successfully lost enough weight and firmed up enough to wear more fun clothes (and not burlap sacks like last year). Heck, even if I don't, I'm still thankful for the little changes you've made, such as counting calories and walking more.

To show my appreciation for all you've done, I'm going to do something nice for you. That's right, I'm going to buy new (smaller) clothes, because you deserve it.

WOW, filling in this letter really makes you think, doesn't it?

Dear Me,

This note is long overdue. I wanted to thank you for making a real effort to become healthy the last few months. That's quite a change from last year! It makes me feel very proud and capable, knowing that you're looking out for me, and working so hard to eat well and exercise. I believe that, come September, I will have successfully lost 50 pounds and have the energy to keep up with the baby. Heck, even if I don't, I'm still thankful for the little changes you've made, such as nutritious foods, bellydancing classes and drinking lots of water.

To show my appreciation for all you've done, I'm going to do something nice for you. That's right, I'm going to redocorate the living room, because you deserve it.

Love, Me
