On March 30th, tommorrow, it will have been exactly 1 year since I had my life saving stem cell transplant for leukemia. On April 11, it will be exactly 10 years Ewing Sarcoma free...
I very excited about this, obviously, however I am trying not to rely on people around me remembering and celebrating with me. I have noticed me saying things to myself like " lets see if they remember..." I don't want to do that and at the same time I don't want people to forget either...so I have decided that I will do something special for myself that day and if others remember, than great if not, thats ok too!
You should definately celebrate your life. losing weight is a great goal in life, but living life is what it is all about. and you were given a second chance. so i definately say celebrate it. even if no one remembers, you should. i mean, it did change your life didn't it??!! congratulations!! that is awesome. go out and celebrate!!
Fitgal, that's wonderful!
You're smart not to measure the worth of the people around you by their responses. I'm not excusing people, but we all have such busy, messy lives.
Enjoy your day, and be very good to yourself, dear girl!!
What an incredible NSV.
I think too often people take things for granted. Even if no one else acknowledges the date, please celebrate and do something nice for yourself.
Thanks for sharing with us.
