Default People are noticing...

So, I went to my grandmother's house for dinner, and my dad was there. I walked in the door and first thing he said was (and I quote) " Hey.....your SKINNY!" I was floored because my dad isn't that liberal with the compliments. He went on to say that I look amazing and he can't believe how thin my face was. I am so happy....oh, and this may be to personal, but my boyfriend said he definitely noticed a difference when we were....you know....together...(clears throat.)

Anyway, happy Monday! Oh, and sorry for being dense, but, uh, what does NSV mean?

NSV stands for Non-Scale Victory...

... sort of like, oh, when someone like a dad or BF notices your weight loss and comments on it...

...exactly like what you've described here!!! Congratulations on a fantastic NSV!!! Must have made you feel like a million bucks!

Congratulations on getting complimented, but more importantly, congrats on all the work you've done. Keep it up. You are wonderful.

Congratulations - this will just help to remind you that all the hard work is paying off - compliments like that are perfect for getting you past the chocolate bars in the grocery store! Way to go!

Thanks ladybug. The funny thing is, even if people know they are still taken aback when they see the difference. You keep going for it and you will make it!

Congrats! That's always a great NSV It's the kind of thing that gets me out of the house, in a selfish sort of way... ("I wonder if so-and-so will say anything about my weight?")

congrats, and keep it up!

I know alot of people here at work keep telling me they can tell i'm losing weight, but my family has not commented on it hardly at all. and i saw that one that got away this weekend and he didn't say anything. but he is a man of little words anyways. maybe next time i see him i'll be down almost 40 pounds and his mouth will drop open!!
