Default Silly NSV.. but big to me

Since I began my lifestyle change over a month ago I have had to exercise late at night. I go to work early in the morning and then have a 10 mos old to take care of in the evening. The only time I can do a solid cardio workout is at night after my daughter is in bed. Some nights it is almost 10 before I get started and it takes an hour!
I have been trying for 2+ weeks now to get up and do my exercise tape before work in the morning but it has been so hard to get up and extra hour and a half early. Anyone with little kids know how precious sleep is, lol.
But today... I finally did it!! I mangaged to get out of bed and do my hour long tape before starting work! I hated getting up and hated about 3/4 of the video, then I realized I was close to the end and started feeling good, lol. I already feel so much better today. I have more energy and am looking forward to the rest of the day knowing that the cardio is over with.
I hope I can keep doing this. Hopefully since I wont have to exercise tonight I can get to bed early and then get up early tomorrow and start it all again.
I know this is sorta silly but it was big for me and just felt like sharing. I always read everyone's successes and draw alot of encouragement from them. Keep up the awesome work everyone!

Wow - that is fantastic! I don't have a little one, but I hate getting up earlier than I have to in the morning. It is not silly to share this at all - I can totally relate on that being a big achievement.

Hey, girlfriend, there's nothing silly about it! I vividly remember how exhausted I was when my kids were little, so my hat is totally off to you for doing this. Keep up the good work.

It takes a tremendous amount of determination and dedication to get up out of a warm, cozy bed to do anything, let alone exercise. Double that when you're already somewhat sleep-deprived while caring for a little one.

You're to be commended! Way to go!!!

Good for you! I am still doing the evening/nighttime routine myself, though I hope to switch to mornings some day. It sounds like it is a wonderful energizer and pick-me-up in the mornings! Let us know how the 2nd morning in a row goes!

Good job! I'm glad you found it gave you a good feeling for the day. Remembering thta feeling sometimes helps get me out of bed early for workouts. Good luck developing this routine and CONGRATS on the NSV.

I have a 15 month old boy so I TOTALLY understand about getting your sleep! If I have to workout in the evening, I do it after my son's dinner because he is ready to play and he thinks mommy workout is playtime. I do taebo tapes so he kicks and puts his arms in the air - I noticed it helps him sleep because he is sooo tired!

In the past two weeks I have motivated myself go to Curves in the morning and I do feel the difference.

Good luck and congrats!

That's a great victory! Making time for yourself to do anything with a toddler is a huge challenge. Good for you and your discipline!

Wow! Good for you! I'm a single parent of a 9 yr. old that I have to get to school on time every day before work. You know the drill... pack the lunch, tell them for the 3rd or 4th time to get up. That's enough to work me out until after work in the evening. Then there's ton's of things to do... homework, dinner, clean- up, bath, fun time... leaves me no time. I know I'm making excuses, I just havn't been able to overpower myself yet!
You go - you've found the niche!
