Default Ten pounds... a magic number!

I've actually lost the first ten pounds! I've been trying to lose weight, off and on, for years, but it's been eight years since I've managed to lose this much! I usually get distracted at about the 7 or 8 pound mark, so this is more of a victory than it appears to be. Of course, I'm starting from my highest weight ever, so it's a mixed victory. (In my thinner days, I never dreamed the day would come when I would celebrate weighing 200 pounds. ) I just have to say how much I appreciate the encouragement of everyone here. So... the first thing I did after weighing myself this morning was to log on and move my butterflies. Now I'm going to eat breakfast, and then I'll be off to church with a grateful heart.

Good Work!
I think because we've all done that 5 or 6 lbs thing so many times, we've come to realise what a feat it really is to lose 10 lbs! See, this time you are really doing it!

*chuckle* I know exactly what you mean -- I celebrated weighing 250!

Congrats! Glad to see your hard work is paying off!

lol I know what you mean about "celebrating" weighing 200! I was super happy with my 212 this morning. I can't wait til I get to 200!! I find it a little sad sometimes that the weight I am looking forward to would make someone else scream in horror if they saw that same number on their scale. LOL

Keep up the hard work
