Default Yippee... HUGE (for me) NSV!

This is really a big NSV for me though for some it might not be so exciting! But I go walking on my lunch hour and coming back is up a big hill about 8 blocks long. Usually I walk down, sit on a bench to rest, do more walking, stop for a minute when I have to, and rest again before heading back up the hill... as well as stopping to hang over a fence for a break now and then coming back up. When I first started walking LOL I was leaning on all the light posts or whatever.

Lately I have been noticing I don't need as many breaks. Today when I got to the bottom I decided to just keep going... then went walking all around and thought hey if I can make it back UP the hill and back to work, I can get a big NSV. So I did it!!!!

BTW one thing I did to help was rather than think about the hill, I thought about every name and face or avitar on here I could think of and prayed for all of you! That you would have strength to meet your challenges and stresses. Before I knew it all of a sudden I was at the top of the hill and headed back down the last couple blocks to work.

Thanks Brandy... believe me my successes do NOT come easily LOL. It is helpful to me to be able to come here though and post them and inspires me to GET them even in little things because it takes a whole bunch of little things to add up to BIG things.

You are doing a great job on your weight loss, tofat! Good for you.

Dance you really are one of the most inspring people on this site! You really work hard to achieve your goals and you are always so proud of others when they achieve theirs!!

Just knowing that there's someone out there like you routing for me ( and all of us ) makes me feel so much more confident that I can achieve my goal.

Thankyou so much

Congrats! I always love it when I find I can lift a little bit heavier, swim that extra lap, etc. Makes me feel really great about what I'm doing for my body.

Keep up the great work, you're a source of inspiration!

Hi Jcogs and welcome!! You got it right about victory. NSV stands for Non Scale Victory... where we can come and post about those victories we have that don't necessarily show up on the scale at least right this minute!! Nice to have you here... and just please jump in anywhere! You will find the waters friendly!!

Glad to hear you are doing well! You are always so wonderfully positive and supportive; it's great to hear that you are suceeding!

I always find that distracting myself a little bit (not too much) makes harder workouts fly by!

I'm so proud of you, Dance! You're, literally, making great strides! I't's wonderful that you've found an activity that really clicks for you! That's half the battle, I think.

Keep on steppin'! You're simply awesome!
