low fat diet and exercise an hour a day - that is what i have been doing for about uhm 2 weeks (I have been exercising for about a month, but the diet came later). Do you mind if I ask... did it take a bit to start seeing some progress? I mean I can feel it and I am doing more in my exercises (I really hop when your supposed to instead of step hee hee ), but I get discouraged because I gained a couple of pounds even though there is no sodas anymore (lots of H2O going on and bathroom breaks) and my portions are smaller. It helps to see your success and it is motivational!! It gives me hope that I am not getting glute cramps for nothing... I love this forum because it gives me hope. It's different than reading a success story from a magazine ad ... so thanks for the hope ~Sunshine~!!

I just read my own post and realized there is a lot of "hope" in it - sorry about the redundancy there.

Most impressive, Sunshine! Really makes the point when you see it in graph form, doesn't it? Well done

(whew, thank goodness I looked at this before posting -- at first it said "Most impressive, Sinshine!" Makes a whole different statement )

Wow, you're an inspiration just when I needed it
By the way, my Dad grew up in Ft. Scott and I even have one of the old bricks from one of the old cobblestone streets in my flowerbed that says Ft. Scott.

That is awesome sunshine. but i too have a question. I see by your graph, it looks like you plateaud from may to jan. and then in january must have dropped 30 pounds. is that accurate?? am i reading it wrong?? did you not lose any pounds during those months but lose inches?? i am trying to cut down my portion sizes and keep my calories between 1200 and 1400 most days and try to get in at least a 30 minute walk 6 days a week and try to go to the gym most weeks, 3 times a week where i usually do cardio for 20 minutes and weights for about 25. not seeing alot of progress but i hadn't been back at the gym too long yet.

but again, that is awesome how much you have lost. keep up the good work and give us any tips you might have.
