2 Year Atkins Anninversary Today!
Hi Everyone,
Two years ago today, I made the decision to take charge of my life & lose weight BEST decision I ever made! When I began the Atkins way of eating, I was 245 lbs & I was wearing a size 3X Today I am 158 lbs, wearing size 10/12's and I'm 13 lbs from my goal weight.
For those who think they can't do this...please let me say...You CAN do this! It is SO worth the effort! Find what works for you & make the decision to stick with it no matter what. The reward will be a happier, healthier you and you ARE worth it!!!

Hi Ciarra,
Basically, I've stayed at Induction level carbs since day 1. I eat between 20-25 carbs a day. Mostly eggs with bacon or sausage for breakfast, salad with veggies & grilled chicken or tuna salad for lunch and chicken, beef or fish for dinner with veggies. I don't snack between meals. I limit cheese. And of course, I drink LOTS of water & take my vitamins!
Thanks for the information. For the most part I do Atkins induction. On a special occasion I will have something slightly higher in carb, but not desserts(processed sugar is just too addictive for me). I do enjoy an occasional piece of sugar free russell stover candy for those moments I just want something sweet. So mine is a modified Atkins, one that suits my lifestyle better. I tried to switch it up and try weight watchers and just put back on weight so I guess it is Atkins for me as well for life. I really do enjoy the food choices, it's simple and at the end of the day I really am not hungry. And I'm down 72 pounds this morning! To me nothing works quite like it.
Congradulations again on being so diligent and sticking with it. I wish I hadn't listened to others and tried something else. I know i would be that much closer to goal.
Congrat's on your huge success. I am also on Atkins. Have lost 76 lbs. so far and have 13 lbs. to goal. This has been the best choice for me, and I am totally satisfied with my food program. I , also have stuck to 20 to 25 carbs daily and it has worked great for me. Are you finding that the lbs. are a lot harder to get off now that you are this close to goal? This is what is happening to me. Only 3 or 4 lb. loss each month. I expect this normal, but would appreciate your reply, since we are in the same boat.
