Talking I Slayed The Chocolate Monster!

Yesterday I sighed a sigh of relief when the last piece of sherry trifle and last mini mince pie was gone and today the UPS man delivered a 3 POUND BOX OF CHOCOLATES . These were a gift from one of my husband's business associates.

I ate one piece and got hubby's permission to dump the rest. First I sprayed them with Windex, otherwise I may have gone dumpster diving in our trash bin to get them out!

I felt very proud of myself for overcoming the urge to gobble at least 10 pieces, after which I would have felt sick to my stomach and ashamed of myself. Chocolate is a real trigger food for me, so I'm glad they're gone.

Wow, great job Penny. I wish I could say same thing. I was craving sweets today, so I end up eating too much chocolate and ice cream.

Thanks tsots! It's hard, having all these tempting foods around at this time of the year. You are doing great - I see you have lost 45 lbs!

Wow, I don't know that I could have had the willpower to do that. Spray with windex... what an idea!

Excellent work penpal!!

Windex is a great idea! I've heard oversalting food, but this seems a great idea. I really like salt, but no one wants to eat windex, right?

Wow! Giving up chocolate. That's a tough one. Kudos to you, Penny.

BTW I love the saying in your signature.

Thanks for the kudos' guys!

I had a real bad chocolate craving today so I said to hubby "hmmmm, maybe you'd better put the trash out - I might be tempted to wash off the Windex!"

Penny - way to go! I'm not sure I could do that. However, it makes me wish I had a garbage disposal - that's another way to get rid of things permanently.

Wow!! Windex haven't thought of that. I have the same issue with chocolate one the main reasons i am where I am. When I was pregnant with my son almost 11 years old now, I would sit and eat a bag of resee's and drink cokes. Really healthy for the baby right? My husband was in the Navy and I was home alone all day. Congrats.

Reeses, that sounds so good and I have bag full of it in the pantry. And I am trying not to go in there. May be I should spray it with windex too. lol. I never had reeses up until this halloween. I know its crazy, but where I grew up, we didn't had peanut butter, so when moved here I assumed that it wouldn't taste good therefore i never had anything with peanut butter. But now I love reeses peanut butter cup, which is bad because I am so tempted to grab some and stuff my face.

I told the gals at Curves today about spraying the chocolate with Windex and they all cracked up! Some of them said they are going to spray their leftovers and pitch them. Once it's sprayed there's no reconsidering throwing it out (unless you are really desperate!)
