I'm a babe!
 

So...my company holiday party was last Friday, and I wore a slinky new cocktail dress (fun!). There were some old friends there who I hadn't seen in a long time and really wanted to catch up with. I was trying to make my way through the crowd to get to them when I saw the husband look at me and do a confused double take. I stopped to chat with one more person along the way and then heard him say, REALLY loudly, "Oh my God! That IS Paula" He didn't recognize me. :D He and his wife were very sweet, telling me how great I looked.

But...

The best part was the day after. One of my current co-workers called their house and the husband said "who knew our little Paula was such a hot babe!" (note: he's a super nice guy - it was a compliment, not anything sleazy ;) )

Let's be clear here - I haven't, to my knowledge, EVER been called a "babe" before. EVER...

I'm floored. Can someone check and see if the earth is still spinning on its axis? :dizzy:
