Uncle Sam says I'm NORMAL!!

  • According to the Centers for Disease Control, a BMI of 24.9 is within "normal weight range." Today, I weighed in at 145 lbs, which equates to a 24.9 BMI for my height of 5'4".

    Therefore,
    I AM NOW NORMAL!!!

I was "obese" at 189 lbs...

I was "overweight" at 149 lbs...

And now -- for the first time since the 1980s -- I am *officially* a normal weight.

Just had to share. I think this is my biggest NSV yet.
  • at the title to your post. My first reaction was 'Uncle Sam may say so, but we sure don't!'

Just kidding, Kate!!! You know we love you.

Congratulations on being normal. Can't say I've ever been myself.
  • , Meg!!

I know...I just couldn't resist that title when it popped into my head . And I may be "normal" weight-wise, but I dunno about the rest of me. The CDC doesn't offer any guidelines on "normal" personality, "normal" driving habits, or "normal" sense of humor, so I suppose I'll have to search elsewhere for that info.
  • What terrific news!! That hard work paid off! Usually I think "normal" isn't all its cracked up to be, but in this case it is!
  • I always believed you were normal hehe congrats
  • Congrats Kate!!
  • Yay Kate!!!!

You have answered the "why be normal" question for me...my hero(ine)!!
  • Wow! What program are you using? I'm using BFL. What ever you are doing, it is working and how. You look GREAT!!
  • Wow, that's great!
    Congrats, Kate!

That's actually one of my biggest milestones, too, when it finally happens. I actually have a copy of the BMI table on my fridge, with my starting weight and goal weight highlighted. I just get thrilled every time I drop to the next BMI (I'm a geek, I know it!).

    Congrats again, good for you!
  • Hey Congrats on your normalcy
