Well today is week 3 of my diet. I now weigh 231lbs.
We (my fiancee, myself and another couple) went to Johnston Canyon this Saturday. We were up 5am to get prepared, left at 6, picked up our friends and out we went.
We arrived at 8am and started our hike. We walked the 6.5 kilometers to the Inkpods, arrived at 11:30 am (absolutely pooped). Sat and ate our lunches (I had a peanut butter sandwich and a handful of trail mix). My legs felt soooo sore and my ankles felt like they were going to explode. I wanted to cry knowing that we would have to go back UP the mountainside to get back. 3 km was uphill (half of it pretty Steep!) and the rest downhill (which was UPHILL on the way TO the inkpots).
(btw the inkpots are little pools that are colored with minerals, very pretty for those who have never been to Johnston Canyon).
By te time we got back to the car at 1:50pm, my legs were shaking and ready to collapse. BUT I MADE IT!!
I remember when we got to the inkpots, my fiancee asking me "Do you think You're gonna make it back?" My reponse was "Unless you're going to carry me, I don't see as how I would have any other choice!" LOL.
We got back into Calgary and picked up our son from Grandma and Grandpa's, got home about 4ish (our son was sick with some sort of stomach bug so he promptly went to sleep as we got home).
I soaked in the bath for about 1 hour, crawled into bed at 6 after making a half-arsed dinner and fell asleep myself.
I weighed myself BEFORE the hike and I weighed 232, the next morning AFTER the hike, I was 235!!!!! ARRRRRRRG!!!
My legs are still sore as heck, but I have noticed that my legs and bum have trimmed down *YAY!* I got up this morning, got dressed and stepped on the scale. 231.5 lbs, so I tore off my clothes (which weigh at LEAST 1 lb) and stepped on again, 232.5!!! Darned scale has GOT TO GO!!!
We're gonna look into buying a new one. This one lies so much it makes me depressed.
The size 20 pants that I bought on Friday (which fit nicely at the time I bought them) are now loose and I have to keep pulling up! LOL so I lose something... Probably gained some more muscle.
Will do my measurements tonight.
But I still can't get over it how I was able to walk the WHOLE 13 km's!! WOW!
