Smile I am soooo excited!!

Today is a great day for me. After 6 long weeks of being on Maintenance with Weight Watchers, I finally became a lifetime member today!! I have lost 25 pounds, and now weigh 139 pounds. I am 5'6" tall, medium-small build, so this is a good weight for me. I can't tell you just how excited I am to finally reach my goal. Although I didn't have an extremely large amount of weight to lose, it took me a year to get here. A lot of yo yoing on the scales. Many times I wanted to throw in the towel, but now I am sooo glad I kept on the program!

Now the real challenge begins as I work to keep those unwanted pounds off!!I know now that I must remember that those lost pounds will creep back up on me very easily if I don't keep working at maintaining my weight every single day of my life!

Thanks for letting me share my success with all of you!
Carol

Congratulations, Carol, and please come join us in the Maintainers Forum. We've got a great group of people there who -- just like you -- are working every day to KEEP those pounds off.

Thanks Meg for inviting me to join your group in Maintainers. I will stop by and get acquainted real soon. It is such a great feeling to be at goal weight!! BTW you look fantastic! How long did it take you to lose all that weight? Wow! That is an accomplishment to be proud of. And here I only had to lose 25 pounds! Congrats to you,Meg!!

Thanks, Carol! It took me a little less than a year to lose it all and I've been maintaining for two years now. It really IS the best feeling to be at goal weight and it's still the first thing that I think of every morning when I wake up.

But the number of pounds or how long it took to get there doesn't really matter -- now that we've lost the weight, we all have the same goal: to keep it off forever. So it's not really any different for me than for you! It would be easy for any of us to slide right back into some of those old bad behaviors and habits that got us overweight to begin with -- we all fight the same fight (but we're gonna win! ).

Hope to see you around Maintainers and feel free to start a new thread there about any topics or questions that you may have been wondering about Life After Goal.
