Talking Yay! Sort of...

Okay, it's really pathetic that I'm actually proud of this, but I finally worked my way up to 15 minutes of running intervals! It's too hot outside, and I don't want to cause permanant psychological harm to young children who may see me jiggling down the road, so I use the treadmill. I'm still at 0 incline, just trying to get my cardiovascular fitness up. I started out barely being able to power-walk for five minutes, because I'm fat and a smoker to boot, and I never, ever, ever exercise unless absolutely necessary. I know if I quit smoking it would help tremendously, but smoking and dieting at the same time is just setting myself up for failure. Anyway, here I am, three weeks later, just jogging along happily and actually enjoying the sweat. I'm more proud of my change in mentality than anything else, but 15 minutes is good for me. I'm still doing 2:1 walk:run ratio, which is still pretty bad, but I'm getting there. Please don't laugh

So, yeah, Yay!! Sort of.
