Question While losing...has anyone had droopy skin?

Hi. I'm new here, but I've changed my life style and I'm eating better and exercising. I've lost 22 lbs already and have 50 more to go. I've been moisturizing my skin but I'm noticing that my skin looks bad. Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone give me any advice on what to do? Thanks/

I haven't had this problem yet. I do have some stretch marks though from when I gained the weight in the first place.

I have the stretch marks on my legs and stomach, but I can't let it get me down. I do think that exercise can help with the saggy skin, even walking, and bike riding can help. I walk a lot and stretch marks aside, my legs look strong.

Thumbs up Try this...

Cocoa Butter. Not a lotion or anything, but pure, 100% cocoa butter. It will make a huge difference. i read that pure cocoa butter is used by people who live in Africa and are inthe sun constantly. It's great for skin repair - stretch marks, scars, healing form tattoos (not that that's how I know )...

Anyway, you can find it in the drug store or wherever, with the lotions. the last I bought came as a stick. It's kinda 'hard' but once you rub it on your skin, the body heat melts it enough to smooth on.

Good luck, and bigtime congratulations on your loss! Keep it up, and buy loits of cocoa butter!

Stretch marks are the devil. I had stretch marks even when I was super skinny b/c I grew taller so fast when I was young. I'm going to try that cocoa butter, thanks! I've also heard the rubbing vitamin E (you prick a hole in the capsules and squeeze out the "stuff) on stretch marks helps. I tried Mederma for awhile and it works, but its SO expensive, I'm sure it was meant to be used on smaller areas. I've been a little worried about saggy skin b/c I want to lose 30 pounds that I've kept on my frame for 4 years so I've been moisturizing my stomach, hips, and thighs with Neutrogena Skin Firming lotion with Copper. I hope that helps!

About loose skin - check out the Maintainers Forum (located right under the Ladies who Lift forum) - there's an EXCELLENT 'sticky' thread regarding loose skin and weight loss. Worth checking out!
