  • Welcome Paige!!!

And morning chicks! I was up late arguing with HB on wedding plans. UGH! It's so frustrating! Anyway, I missed the gym this morning but hope to get there after my alum reception this evening...even if it's at 8p!

Hope you all have wonderful days (snow or sun!)
  • Who's lost 7.5 inches....It's ME, IT'S ME!!!! I went to curves today & they weighed & measured me...so that's good news!!!
    Welcome Pikato!!
Hello stephie....what color will the office be?
Crock - great job with the 30lbs gone!!!
Weezle - you'll be great, don't worry! Speciality stores.....big deal - just talk about customer service and creating an unique experience for every customer that walks inside the store. (You may want to do some research....some stores call their customers "guests" instead of customers - I know Disney and Target do this. If would be helpful/impressive if you used their jargon...proves you are thinking a like & already understand the business.
Jazztap - enjoy your weather...I'm jealous - it's 44 here! (and it was snowing this morning!)
Chipper - do try to enjoy your day...hope your gd eye's feel better soon.
Pearsy - heyya! How are you doing? Great job on the 5lbs down, but I'm still going to beat ya to onderland! =) Have you tried the Virgin brand wine yet? Had some last night - not bad.
Dare - sounds like you have the same weather as me! Maybe I should try Batmom's recipe - sounds good.
Ruthie - enjoy your free day...hope your windows get fixed soon & the furbabies don't miss you too much!
Sarah - enjoy your camping trip....I have a tent that I have NEVER used & it's huge...I think it sleeps 7-8 people, still in the box.
Toomuch & Tar - hello, have a great day!
Schatzi - I think I'm going to join you for some cofee...way too cold!
Well I'm off to run some errands, hopefully I'll get my chores done & I cam squeeze some time in for scrapbooking!

  • Good Afternoon Ladies

The sun is shining on us,as Leo is feeling alot better this morning then he did the others day.

I trying to keep me from over eating like I do when I get upset. We're going to the center this morning and for the rest of the week so I have the afternoons to myself.

I wasn't so good foodwise yesterday but when I go home I had once of those Lean Cuisine carb consious meals, gobbled that up in no time and then the eating everything insight began. YIKES Why do I do that I know the rules, but something takes over & theres no stopping.

I have to go Will post later HugsBB
  • Afternoon, gals! Yesterday was the craziest day yet. Started by getting paged in the shower and then got paged again at 5:40PM for another outage. I ended up over a half hour late to the cub scout meeting since I had to restore service before I could leave.

Today has been busy but not as frantic.
  • Good afternoon everyone!

it's been forever since I've posted and I feel horribly guilty about that Life has been crazy and I think I've only been in town about half of the last six weeks or so. I was doing a lot of law school visits to try and pick the best one for me (you might remember I had just recently applied to schools) And the winner is...Duke! I am very excited about starting in fall.

Also DH just had surgery - a tonsillectomy - and is busy recovering at home, watching TV and eating ice cream. It is very tough to stay away from the ice cream and especially the chocolate pudding!!! (None of his stuff is SF since he doesn't like that kind) I've been strong lately though.

I don't even know how to begin catching up with everyone since it's been so long (shame on me!) but I'll read through your posts...I hope you all are doing great!
  • Whoo! This is the first chance I've had today to visit with you all, it's been that kind of a day here. Everyone is talking about the crazy weather - it was sunny when I went to Curves, and while I was there it got real dark and started snowing, it was coming down hard! Driving out to pick up the little ones was like driving in a severe blizzard. Then it stopped, the sun came out and dried up everything, then it started snowing hard all over again and has been doing it off and on ever since! It's like winter is trying to make one last valiant effort to hang on. I had to bring the girls to my house after school so someone would be here for a delivery of mulch. What a day to be getting that! The girls are settled in watching "An American Tail" right now, so I'm taking advantage of that to have a little "me time". In fact, I think I'll go make myself a cup of Vanilla Chai Tea, and think about what to make for supper. Those chicken enchiladinis sound pretty good, I have some chili left over from yesterday, but I'm still suffering bad "effects" from that, so I'd better eat something else!
    Love to you all!
  • It seemed that the universe was against me and Terry working out tonight. I had to teach 3 piano lessons so I would have gotten home shortly after 6, eaten, changed, and been to the Y by 6:30. Unfortunately, I left the school and realized that my cell phone was still there. Piano ran late, then I had to go all the way back to the school, and come all the way home.

On my way home, I called Terry and said "Just go without me, I can run at home" and he refused, so I got home at 6:30, decided to skip eating, and got pissy because he was in a hurry and I had to miss my dinner to go work out and he wanted an hour and a half workout and I wanted 15 minutes of running.

We got all the way out to the car and he said "You have a quarter?" (You need a quarter to get out of the Y parking lot.) No. So he found one in his cup holder. Halfway there, I said "Do you have your Y card?" He checked the cup holder. Nope. Turned around and went home. I said on the way "I feel like the Y is going to get bombed or something tonight because we just aren't supposed to go."

So we decided for me to run and him ride his bike along side of me. Tires were flat. He had a can of Fix a Flat in the car, though, so he got that out and broke it while trying to inflate the tires. Got them inflated enough, though, and by golly, I ran 1.5 miles and he rode his bike along side of me. TRY TO STOP ME FROM WORKING OUT!!!!

And now after running outside, everything that I'm allergic to that comes out in the spring time has gone up my nose and I've sneezed 8 times since I've been home. Oh well. Such is life.

Hope you all are having a great evening.

    Lisa
