|
Good Morning Schatzi,
Sorry that you couldn't sleep but I must admit it's nice to "talk" to another person when it often feels like I'm the only crazy person who calls this time of the day morning. Friends of mine say that this is still the middle of the night as far as they are concerned. Unfortunately, it's the only time of day that I can seem to do a decent workout. I have skipped it in the morning before and said, "oh...I'll do it later today" but that never happens. So, here I am again. I have four cases on the docket today at Family Court so I am NOT looking forward to a day of sitting around with lawyers and clients. On the up side, it is Wednesday which is one day closer to Friday!!! I over did it yesterday on the calorie count by a couple hundred so I feel a little bloated but it's also day 2 of that unwelcome visitor so I will choose to forgive the slip up and try to have a better day today. Looking forward to lemon chicken with roasted red peppers and mushrooms tonight ...yum. Have a great day Chickies!!! |
Good Morning, Chickies~~ :coffee:
Schatzi, so sorry you couldn't sleep last night. My body's been on this kick lately where it decides to wake up at 2:45 and start the 'mind chatter' that doesn't shut down for about 2 hours. Gah!! Whenever something is bothering me, I'm like a dog with a bone--I'll gnaw on it until I'm practically bleeding. Freaky, you're more disciplined than me, getting up that early. I used to do that for work, but my body said "NO MORE"! Of course, I probably have 15 or so years on you, too! My edited chapters are safe in Miss Mary's hands, and after a day off, I'm back to Butt In The CHairING. I do need to figure out a recipe for tonight's dinner that incorporates mushrooms...I have a lot of them that need to be used today. |
Good Morning
Okay maybe not a good morning but I am here. My middle son was up all night coughing and I am too tired!!!! However, I was up 5 times about the
3rd night in a row and I worked out this am. Condisering how tired I was when I started I can't beleive I was able to do it. I want to step up my wkout but need to wait until I get a little more sleep. Went out for dinner last night and think I ate pretty well. Wished I skip the soup but it was beef and veggie and I didn't eat any carrots or potatoes. SO I guess i am really learnig what I can and cannot eat. The dinner was ok but being out and not hearing 3 kids yell and fight and not having to cook 5 meals a night..... priceless! I know I have to increase my water today. LAst few days too busy at work to think about it. So Freaky remind me to get a water instead of yelling at an attorney- which will probally be ours! Well time to make lunches- Have a great low cal/ SB day!:belly: |
Morning Schatzi and Freaky!
I made it through yesterday pretty well, my only downfall being a small shake from McD's. I was really careful about my calories, otherwise, and ate veggies and protein the rest of the day, so I'm not going to get stressed-out over it. Unfortunately today I'll have to miss my morning Curves, since I have to leave early to take Audrey to school and stay at home with Maggie. Mommy has early office hours this morning, so I'm needed. Maggie is starting to feel better, thank goodness, and when I left their place yesterday, her fever was down and she was jumping from chair to chair in the family room. She was begging Audrey for a piece of her Valentine's party candy, so she is starting to get her appetite back, too, which is a good sign. The poor baby hasn't been able to keep anything down since Sunday, so it looks like things will be getting back to normal. I just hope Audrey and the rest of us don't get her virus! My DD has been sharing bits of news about the foreign exchange student who is staying with them. She's from a tiny village in the Alsace region of France, and she is overwhelmed by the lifestyle here. She can't get over the fact that many stores and restaurants are open 24 hrs. She also is amazed by the size of the portions of food she is served. She claimed her meal of chicken fingers and fries was enough to serve 4 people. Sadly, it shows just how gluttonous us Americans have become. The girls are getting along fabulously, though, and having a blast together. My GD, Caitlyn, will be staying with her family in France in June, and it will be interesting to hear about her experiences living in a completely different culture. Time to go pack some lunch. We're having salmon for supper tonight, with grilled veggies. Enjoy the day! |
LOL Mamahulk - I just packed my waters to take to court as well because I was afraid I would not drink enough and I'd get stuck there all morning. I can't believe you got up and worked out after three nights of not nearly enough sleep!!! Congrats on making your goal for Valentines and your good choices at dinner last night. :carrot: You said once that I was inspiring you...well guess what...you inspire me!!! Anyone else want to join our mutual fan club??? :D
See you in court! ;) And Good Morning Cottage and Mama!!! |
Sorry Mamacita and Mamahulk, we must have been posting at the same time, Good Morning!
Mama, do you have a title for your book, yet? I want to make sure I don't miss it when it's published! Mamahulk, I do hope your little is feeling much better today! There's so much sickness going around right now, we're dealing with it ourselves. |
Thank YOU.
Wow do you guys know how to make a woman feel good. Thank You!!!!!!!
I am not sure about how inspiring but I think we are all inspiring each other. I have to say I LOVE this web site- all of you are awesome. Congrats to all of you.:grouphug: |
Morning everyone....I'm up & I'm not happy about it. I have to go to the store this morning & let another mgr in. We had to change the locks because they fired a mgr & the opening mgr didn't get a new key. Of course I was at the store until 11:15 last night - she could of stopped by & picked it up. I guess that was too convient for her. Chat more later........
|
Here I am, rubbing my eyes. You all are up WAYYYY too early. Not a chance in H-E-double-hockey-sticks that I'm getting up extra early and giving up sleep to exercise. I like exercising, but I won't sacrifice sleep for anything.
So, went to kick boxing last night and found out that my shoulder pain is tendonitis, just like I thought. Crap. My instructor told me he will whoop my :censored: if he sees me lifting the weights above my head when he has us do weights. Great. Wonder how long this will last. I don't wanna go to work. :( I felt like it was Friday all day yesterday, and that school is crawling with illness. Three teachers out, 27 kids out, some 72 hour flu going around with high fevers and puking, no thank you. I'm a germ-o-phobe, so I don't even know why I still work there. Ugh. Well better get back to getting ready for work. You all have a fantastic day and I'll reply to you all later on. Lisa |
Good morning, Mamahulk, Cottage and Soon--
Mamahulk, sorry you're so tired this morning. It's never a good one when the wee ones are sick. :( Cottage, I'm not published yet and titles almost always get changed. But, I'll be sure and post to let you all know when the happy day arrives! :) Soon, hope your day goes better than it's starting off. Weezle, I'm a germophobe, too and look what *I* do for a living!!!! As long as you take good defensive measures, being a germophobe will keep you healthy amidst the plague. :) |
Morning LAdies
I have been AFK due to depression and all the lovely food that goes with it! hopefully both things have ended right now I'm doing ph 1.5 until We can finish us our yogurts and veggies that have corn in them THen Hardcore ph1! I have 2 bottles of water and a Diet Dr. PEpper I'm armed and fabulous. Schatz and Mama Slide some Cawfee over here! I was up 45 times in the night and had to meditate to get back to sleep (surprisingly it worked) Freaky go forth and kick some buns today! that chicken sounds good! MamaH you are an EXERSAINT! I can't get myself in gear if I've been asleep all night! Good JOb! Cottage a foriegn exchange how fun! I remember when I lived abroad how small real restaurant portions were Soon Hi Hun sorry you have to go in BBL Kierie |
Morning!
Quick check in from school. Today will be a good eating day for me as I went haywire with the candy yesterday. UGH!! The girls are having a sleepover at my mom's tonight so DH and I can have a Valentine's dinner at home. :) Should be romantic and relaxing, just what we need!! Have a super day all! |
Can I join you? I started the SBD on Jan 30 and I've lost 2 lbs. I have two daughters (1 and 2 1/2) and my husband is in the Marine Corps. I used to be a graphic designer but until we move to a town with a better job market, I'm a stay at home mommy. I want to loset 10 lbs. That might not sound like much, but I'm only 5 feet tall so that's a lot on my frame. I added a few days onto the tail of Phase 1 because I cheated this weekend. It was my youngest's first birthday and we celebrated with cupcakes and champagne (milk, for her of course). Now I'm back on track and eager to lose more weight.
|
This will be quick as I have a very shaky ISP this morning. I'm doing this in Word and then will paste it in. There was a power outage last night and my ISP (runs on steam most of the time! ) is having problems with the Net today.
So sorry about the sleep problems, Mamacita, Mamahulk and Schatzi. I can certainly relate! Cottage, I'm glad the wee ones are recovering. I'm sure that young woman IS in shock over our lifestyle. I wish I were going with your DD in June. I love France. Soon, what a pi$$off to have to go in on your morning off. When you are the main manager, remember this! Weezle, sorry about your shoulder and the germs at school! Being a germo-phobe is a great idea these days! KO, I hope you are well on the way out of that black Jello cave. Just holler - you know we are all here for you. Kiko, a romantic evening alone. How nice that your Mom is having a sleepover. I decided to get realistic about my weightloss and changed my ticker yesterday. When I get to 175 I'll be exactly where I was when we got married 20 years ago! Isn't that sad! I think it was those long gourmet dinners with wine plus moving to the country that put on the weight. When we moved here, I did a lot of roast port, oven potatoes and pie meals, forgetting that we weren't out haying from dawn to dusk! Any bets on how long it will take me to get back to 175? I may need to live to 97! Today is a stay at home day for me which is great! I have appointments every single day next week. :( I plan to putter around the house with laundry and stuff and go out to cut some forsythia and apple branches to force into bloom. I need Spring! My greenhouse pal, Lorraine, is on her way home from Florida in a day or two and March will be the start of the Greenhouse work. I can hardly wait! Lucy is being extra cuddly today which means she is starting to think about having some puppies. I'll soon be taking her to the vet for bloodwork every second day. Puppies by the end of April, I hope! :) Gotta post this before I lose my connection. Have a super day and do something just for you, even if it's just putting on some hand lotion. |
Usmchoney, of course you may join us! :welcome: to The Beach!
|
Ah Valentine's Day...old patterns snuck in and I overdid it on the chocolate. At least it was wonderful Belgian dark chocolate that DH brought back from last trip to Europe. I see others experienced this too...
Back to discipline today. Water, water, water and Phase I eating. Must admit, part of what contributed to throwing caution to the wind is my frustration on Phase II. I lost 10 pounds, then sat and sat for 3 weeks with no lost...lost 2...had a minor eating excursion off plan Friday night and gained back the 2 pounds. I get REALLY frustrated with NO PROGRESS and find it hard to stay focused. How do the rest of you handle the mental games...self defeating thoughts? Meg |
Wow..you girls are chatty this morning..still on a chocolate high? I was a good girl and did not eat any Valentine NONOs. Taking the kids to the circus tonight. It is a surprise!! I can't wait. DD has never been and she is 5...I know...bad mom!! I brough egg salad on whole grain bread for lunch, and I ate my SBD friendly breakfast!! 2 days in a row..I am rocking!! I have not weighed myself in like 2 weeks...scared as to what the scale might say. I am back on SBD for real now...can't wait to move my ticker again!!
|
I must admit that I am a little nervous about moving on to phase II. I'm having a hard time understanding how I will be losing weight by reintroducing food.
Focused, are you exercising? Maybe adding some exercise on varying your current exercise plan might help jumpstart some weightloss. My only Valentine's Day splurge was a glass of wine and a hershey kiss. We went out for dinner, but I managed to stick to grilled chicken and veggies. |
WELL ,I made it through Valentines day without eating the sweets. I bough a SB dinner for PHASE 1 and really liked it.
I hope everybodies sleeping schedule gets back to normal, This thread is really hop-en this morning. Thats great. Good Day all , and I hope everyone does well. |
Hi Ladies:)
Hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day:val1: and I hope you all didn't fall off the wagon because of that candy. I see that we're a very busy board this morning being on page 2 and all. So I'm thinking :chin: just checking in and gonna to make this short. Nothing new, I sneak picked on the scale and was up a pound, but I not really not worried as I had Italian sausage with pasta & tomato sauce a :nono: before a W-I. Than I thought I'll make a soup for todays lunch & fooling around in the kitchen I found this recipe for a tucany bean soup. Have to go out and get some chores done. See you later Hugs :) BB |
Welcome, usmchoney! You will lose weight in phase 2 in a healthy 1-2 pound manner. It happens because you will be eating less calories than you burn. If you drink the water that you should and eat at least 4 1/2 cups of veggies a day, it will happen. I eat alot and it has taken me quite a while to lose but it works.
me - I ate too much dark chocolate yesterday but kept the rest of the day healthy. Dinner was ginger, lime marinated grilled swordfish served over cabbage for me and rice for DH. We had lots of steamed broccoli with it. Tonight's dinner will be ham jambalaya with garlic mustard green beans and a frozen veggie mix for the second veggie. I like to eat it in a big bowl that I fill at least half way with the veggies and then put the jambalaya over it. Yummy! |
BTW: The Phase 1 dinners, there were only three to choose from that are Phase 1 and they have NEW in the upper left hand corner,, What I had was called ""Capese Chicken with Brocolli and Cauliflower" It was very good.. $2.98 .. I think that is not a bad price, when budgeting allows, I will be trying the others.. ANYONE HAVE THOUGHTS ON THE SB BREAKFAST BARS FOR PHASE II?? Thanks,
SHATZI~~ DO U LIKE TO RIDE 4 WHEELERS? I READ YOU PROFILE,, U AUGHTA COME TO WV AND RIDE THE NEW RIVER (water wise) |
Well ladies, I'm back! I'm up doing laundry & cleaning. I also have to drop off some AVON & try to get some more orders...I only have 3 so far & the order is do on Friday. Oh well...I've been working too many hours at the store to get new customers, next week will be better. Besides I'm going to try to go to Ohio & visit the family....maybe I can get some orders out of them! They have a Curves pedometer in there & I think I'm going to get that. Maybe I can get a realistic view of how much "work" I actually do!
I also have to do a scrapbook for my sil.....ugh where will I find the time? MsCrockett - I'm not a fan of breakfast bars.....I rather eat eggs/mock oatmeal or left overs. They are not tasty to me. USMChoney - welcome!! BB - Have a great day! Barb - Can I come over for dinner? Sounds yummy! KYE - hope that ticker moves soon! Focus - take it one day at a time....I lose & gain the same 10 pounds all the time! Ruthie - hello...you're a busy bee as usual Freaky - you're amazing...I'm with weezle - I have no desire to lose sleep to get a workout in! Well dryer is a buzzing....got to check on the clothes! |
Breakfast bars make me hungry. And the South Beach ones are really meant for occasional use. I like my big bowl of oatmeal with Splenda, cinnamon and fruit normally. Sometimes I have southwest eggbeaters with a slice of reduced fat swiss on a whole wheat English muffin. I eat veggies for my snacks so I can avoid having veggies with breakfast. Make sure you do that if you don't get your half cup of veggies or your V-8 with breakfast.
|
woooooohooooooo,, I got my new computer today, sooooooo after while I will be gone for a bit to set this darn thing up......... boy, I was needing it...
|
Good morning.
Well, I made it through Valentine's Day - - BARELY! I ALMOST let myself order the Chicken Fried Steak & Mashed Potatoes & Gravy last night!! But I didn't- I'm so glad! Oh man, that was a close one! DH (Dear Honey - not Dear Husband) gave me a new ring (Not THE ring) but a new one. I love it when I get jewelry. It was such a tease last night, though. He pulled out a ring box & I was like OH MY GOD and then I opened it and it was a beautiful . . . . . . . . . . . mystic topaz. I love it though. It's really nice. I'll talk to you chicks later! Better start getting some work done! This job blows! |
Danielle ~ Good gift,, as I love rings and bracelets...... at least you have an insite to how you may feel when DH give you "THE RING",, good going on staying OP,,,
Just a minute ago I had an NSV that I gotta share, My Dad is not feeling well , so I am daddysitting while my Mother is with Granny (she has been ill) and I was going to heat up some applesauce that he requested, sooooo when I open the Microwave there it is HOMEMADE CINNAMON ROLLS! ( my brothers breakfast, "Mr. Metabloism") and I had a snarley look on my face as I removed them, The smell of them DID NOT INTRIGUE ME AT ALL.,,, so here I set eating a couple donuts,,( cauliflower is my new donut, and brocolli is my tweenkie,, LOL,, hey,, it seems to work. I am sooooooo happy but confused that I was not remotely temted,,, wooooohoooooo......... Take Care,. Crock |

Hello Phase 1 (again)
So I'm back from the beach, and the size 8s that fit last Friday are too small and I'm up atleast 5 pounds on the scale... YUCK! But hey I had a great time on vacation and I'm just gonna keep plugging away... did 30 mins of cardio this morning and am gonna do 30 mins tonight along with maybe some weights... Ticker is gonna stay the same though cause I'm convinced I can have it back down again in a week or so...
Hope everyone has a great day! |
sarah - don't worry - those 8's will be fitting in no time!
|
Hi Ladies I'm back again:)
Had lots to do this morning. Now to get my exercising in before I head out to my choir practice. Sun is shinning and the temps are going up too the 50's melting all that snow we had this weekend. Maybe next week I can take at walk along the beach, but right now its going to be indoor tapes. Meg=Don't get frustrated:tantrum: as gaining is expected in Phase 2 your adding more calories. But its just temperary. You lose again but this time SLOWLY. Speaking for myself it sometimes gets very trying.Doing everything right and than a gain happens. You just continue on the weight loss journey. Kyemom=crossing :crossed: my fingers for you to have a good w-i. usmchoney-Welcome :welcome2: It hard to enter Phase 2 but,you have to go SLOWLY as I found out the second time around. Barb=Your little candy episode is not:nono: going to bring you down, after having a healthy meal.We all indulge once in a while. Even Dr A. omits that. Ms Crocket=I wouldn't:no: use them[breakfast bars],except for a extreme emergency,or maybe once in a whie. Soon-My,you're a busy little beaver with all that activity going on. Hope you'll be able to get to see your family im Ohio. Demeter=Best of luck :lucky:with your new ring.Thats the prefect gift wear it in good health. Sara=Sorry:sorry: about the gain, but your right you'll lose that,as soon as you get back on the beach along with exercising. Hugs :) BB |
Hi everyone, I'm new to this website and South Beach. I've read the book and I'm ready to get started. I've been reading and reading as much info as I can so I'm open for any and all advice you may have. I think my only challenge will be dinner time, mainly because I have a very picky husband and 2 of my children are just as picky as he is. I do not want to cook myself something different than everyone else so I want to work this WOE into all our lives. I'm planning on making a side dish that they can enjoy as well as a side dish and entree that I can enjoy, that way we are all covered.
I need to lose at least 50 pounds, I've already lost 60 pounds but have been in a stand still for about a year now. I hope there is room here for me! Tyra;) |
Ok so Vday was a big disaster for me eating wise. I am not going to tempt you ladies by listing off all the yummy things I cheated with. I did get a mad sugar headache from it all, and could not sleep worth a darn. I made myself go to the gym and did an hour and a half of vigorous cardio. I have to go out of town tonight to shoot a state wrestling tournament. I will be shooting like 12 hour days until I return on Sunday Morning. I am bringing my free weights with me and I hope my hotel has a gym (I am thinking no though) I will have to kick it up a notch when I get back on Sunday. Honestly the biggest hurdle for me is going to be the fact that my meals are comped. I am from a big city, but when we moved to our small town they have NOTHING as far as food goes. Now going back to the big city and instructed to eat where I want just 'turn in your receipt' I am afraid it will be all fettucine all the time. On one hand I really want to stay OP and having my meals paid for means I can try some higher priced SB ok stuff ( like salmon, seafood etc...) BUt on the other hand I am making the paper I work for a deal on my photo fee so that they would include my meals in my payment. So I need to get my moneys worth...since it will be really hard work. Well I hope you all stay OP, I won't be on until Sunday probably.
schazti - your crazygirl go take a nap. You always make me laugh though. freaky - that lemon chicken sounds yummmy mmmmm...great job on getting your workout in even with tom cottage - I have heard that the portion sizes in france are a lot smaller, they also make lunch their biggest meal of the day. There is a book out called French Women Dont Get Fat haha weezle - schools are battlegrounds for illnesses. I do not know how you do it. Listen to your instructor on the tendonitus...don't want to overdo it. usmchoney - Welcome! kyemom - what discipline, you are my motivation :) Demeter - what a tease! Jewelry is jewelry though :) It sounds beautiful. MsCrockett - cauliflower donuts, if only, I would be so healthy... sarah - I am so glad you had fun at the beach. Vacations are meant to be enjoyed, I think you will take it back off. 3darlingsmomma - Welcome to the forum, congrats on all the loss, 60 lbs is quite an accomplishment. |
OK! Away we go!
Schnatzo: Enjoy that nice weather! Going to be high 40's here today, but apparently it's not going to stay nice for long! Freakazoid: Way to be on the exercise. I'm never going to catch up! You rock, girl! Mamacita: I was LESS germ-o-phobic when I worked in the lab than I am here! I used to get a leaky cup of pee all over me... eh. Change the scrub pants, wash the hands, no biggie. But do NOT come near my phone, do NOT come near my desk, and if you're sick get the **** out of my office!!! Mamahulk: Congrats on working out! Cottage: Not only are we Americans gluttons, but we're wasteful too. Our school has 5 foreign exchange students from Korea. One of the host moms was telling me that she thought the poor girl she was housing couldn't figure out the shower because she never let it run enough to get hot. Turns out, in Korea, they wet their wash cloth, turn the water off, and sit on the edge of the tub to wash themselves, and then turn the water back on to rinse and that's it. Yeesh. Soon: Sounds like you had a fun morning. Hope things get better for you today! KO: Sorry about being bummed and eating. Just pick yourself back up and get back to it! Kiko: Enjoy your romantic evening! Usmchoney: :welcome: to the Beach! Join right in! Ruthie: Hurray for more puppies!!!!! Focused: When I get stalled, I try to up my exercise a little bit each day, make sure I'm getting my water, make sure I'm getting my required veggies, fiber, etc. Sometimes I get into a routine and don't think so much about what I'm eating every day, so I miss some things. Everyone plateaus, but you have to work through it. Once your body decides it's ready to drop more weight, you'll see more loss. Patience and hard work! It's hard to not self-defeat, but just keep perservering! You can do it!!! Kyemom: Congrats on rocking the breakfast! Have fun at the circus! MsCrockett: Way to go on no sweets yesterday!!! You rock! Beach Bum: Yum! Soup! Barb: At least it was dark chocolate, right? Antioxidants are good! Demeter: My brother got his GF a mystic topaz. They're so cool! SarahS: Get back on track! You'll be fine! 3darlingsmama: :welcome: to you too! Pull up a beach blanket! OK. Wow. So, I'm a bit of a :censored: today. It's definitely 2 days before my TOM. REEEOOOOWWWRRRRRR!!!! HISSSSSS!!!!! I loathe my job. I applied for two more jobs today, one of which sounds perfect for me. Everyone who prays, please say a little prayer for me that I might find something that will make me happy and pay me what I'm worth. I don't want to be here anymore. I'm also overly busy lately. I keep looking at the huge pile of dishes sitting in the sink and wonder when I'm going to get to them since DH won't do them. (Remember how he only worked a 1/2 day yesterday? Played video games.) Tonight after work, I have to deposit my paycheck, go teach piano, go home, change, wolf down a snack, and go to the Y for a volleyball doubleheader. I won't get home until 8:30, will have to eat a late dinner, and be in bed by 10. I'm just really tired of not knowing what's in store for me for the day until I glance at my calendar. Well, time to get back to work. Again, please say a little prayer for me. I feel like my hair is standing straight up on end. :fr: Lisa |
Wow, so many posts, but that's what I get for coming in late today! :D I hope all of you are doing great today and having a wonderful :sunny: day on your beach blankets! :beach:
So my miscarriage started this morning :( :( :( and I feel really cruddy. The worst of it is the cramping. It feels like my abdomen is trying to self-destruct. :headache: It's like TOM times five. At least it will (physically) be over soon and that will give me a bit of closure. At least I know that this child is safe with my other angel baby now   My Valentine's Day :val2: turned out pretty well. I got law school acceptance #3 so I'm 3/3 so far! (Six schools still have to get back to me :stress: and hopefully it's all good news...) It's going to be nice to have choices for the fall! I also have two scholarship offers, so definitely a good thing indeed. DH and I had a quiet evening at home. I watched Gilmore Girls :sssh: and enjoyed it. Anxious to see what happens with Luke and Lorelai! Went to bed early. So exciting, I know, I can hardly get over it! That's really all for me today! Have a great afternoon! |
Hi Steph!
|
Geez
Hi Christina!
|
Tyra - Welcome! I think your idea is a good one, maybe for the first 2 weeks make them pasta or rice to go along with whatever you're having... I know that my BF has really enjoyed some of the meals that I've made so you should look through the recipe index and see if there's anything that looks appealing! The pizza for example...
|
just adding my hi for wed
we ate dinner at club (cesar salad w/chicken and ice water) and then on to play bridge last night. no candy for me. just passed two weeks on Phase I Monday but not adding carbs in yet--have a dinner with friends planned on Friday and saving up for a glass of wine! Hang in there all. Found a SB friendly recipe for creamed spinach that I am going to try Friday. Will let you all know how it turns out--if other guests like it and don't know it's a "diet" version it will be a winner.
