Default Wrap question

I saw a booklet by the Kraft people of SBD recipes, and they advocate using cabbage leaves instead of tortillas when on phase 1. What do you do to make the cabbage leaves pliable? Boil them? Steam them?

I've used lettuce b/c it's already so plaible, probably if you just let the cabbage sit off a bit it would kinda wilt??

Yeah, romaine won't work, with those thick ribs down the middle of the leaf.
