From one RN to another (with love)~~
You know what to do: stay away from the junk food, drink your water and get some exercise. You can do this!!!

I don't know why we do so well and then cave in. I do the same thing, too. We are smart and capable women. All we have to do is be more disciplined. Come on, we can do this. Now, get moving

OK, there's your butt-kick.

I think anyone who's over 2/3 of the way to their goal can't be lapsing too badly.

Don't kick yourself in the hiney over stuff that's already happened; you can't change the past anyway, and it'll just make you feel worse (vicious circle). You've been doing really well overall--so what if you slip up now and then? Who doesn't?

Of course, ideally you would identify the triggers for your behavior, develop some strategies for coping with them, and then stick to them, but real life rarely is ideal, isn't it? So the next best thing is to get through the bad days as best you can, and then pick yourself up, brush off the dust, and hop right back in the saddle again.

You'll get there! I'm certain you will!

Default Not sure

I'm not sure what my problem is. I totally love candy!

Yes, the stress at work has been incredible, not only way busy, but some internal things with management as well. It's been a long 3 months for this jazz and I know that is definitely a trigger. I talked with my dh for a long time last night too. He's kicking my trash on SB right now. He's so enthused and that makes me happy. He gets up at 0430 every morning to ride his stationary bike.

I also know that I suffer from SADD, this is a bad time of year for me. I go to work in the dark and I leave work in the dark.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, I'm doing much better today.

Love you all!!!

I'm sorry but I'm about to get busted at work because I'm laughing so hard at Schatzi. I heard this cartoonish sounding drill sargent voice when I read what you typed!

RNMOM, all you can do is pick yourself up and move on. Accept the fact that you've made bad choices, and then go toward the positive light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. I'm a SADD sufferer too, but I can tell you that this winter has been way better than the others for me because I've had such positive things to focus on. Know what my positive things are? Working out. I know it doesn't sound too positive, but you (and all the other girls) know me and how much I used to LOATHE doing anything physical. I am all about it! I'm starting to like looking at myself in the mirror now.

Do you and DH have time to work out together and motivate each other? I try to motivate Terry but once he's home from work, he doesn't want to do anything but play on the computer. I know if you have someone who will keep you motivated to work out with, that helps a lot. For instance, Sat-Mon I work out with Terry, Tuesdays I work out with Molly, Wednesday I have volleyball, and Thursday I work out with Karen.

Just try to stay positive and when you're about to give in to temptation, remember how much weight you have left to lose and keep your goals in mind!
