Good morning, Tazcat. I'm not sure of our temp but we had freezing rain last night so my world will be ice-coated this morning.

Romano and his guys finished up at 6:30 last night. I am soooo glad to get my life back! I have a major clean-up and sorting out to do in the cellar but the pressure is off. This morning I'll clean up the shelves in the stairwell. My preserves are covered with cement dust! I have some jars to pitch too. Harry made gherkins in 1993 and they are still there. Wanna try them? They were pretty awful then but may have improved.

I must confess I went out for wings last night with Claire and Doug. I just could not face cooking and they suggested it. Today I must get back on track with pure eating. I am going to get that darn ticker to move!

Have a great day on The Beach, Beauties! Set and chat a bit.

Woke up to hear Jake bumping into things in the dark. He was in the shower when the electric went. Whoops, NOT a good way to start the day! I got up and found the camping lanterns so he could get out of here, and as soon as he left the power came back on!
It's raining cats & dogs here, and would you believe it's 63*! It's supposed to drop to 29* later this afternoon, so it'll be a rollercoaster day. It's going to be a pretty full day today, so I'm taking a change of clothes with me to Curves as I won't have time to come back home and change. I have my lunch all packed, and trying to decide what to have for breakfast. I just may stop and pick up a SMALL bagel to go with my coffee. Last night's Cola Chicken was a success, BTW. Thanks, Schatzi!

Got my coffee and petted my wet darlings for a bit after they came in. It's raining and 36ºF and the ice will melt fast.

Just remembered it's Hershey's 9th birthday today. Any ideas as to how to celebrate? Maybe part of my Western omelet for breakfast?

Mornin' all...

Taz - Hope your day warms up and you enjoy your day off tomorrow.

Ruth - Now great not to have to rush in the morning because you know the work crew is coming over!!! Wonder if in a couple of days, you'll actually miss Romano and the guys?

Cottage - Have a great workout. I go to Curves too-or at least I should be getting back to going to Curves. I got out of the habit around the holidays, but need to get back in there.

Well, unfortunately I did not successfully navigate the mine field of Girl Scout cookies yesterday. But the good news is that everyone polished them off, so they're all gone now. Taking a 1/2 day off work this afternoon to run errands. Gotta get the drivers license renewed - ugh. But on the bright side, I ALMOST weigh what my drivers license says that I do!

Everybody have a great day!

Mornin' chicks. It's beautiful outside with a fresh clean blanket of snow over the city. I love it! Too much snow to go out to the woods...I was expecting just a slight dusting but we have at least a couple of inches. It's so pretty. Lila and I are going to the park in a bit to enjoy it. The rest of the day will be spent reading and getting caught up on the never ending stuff to do.

The eggplant lasagna was yummy last night. I'm having leftovers for lunch and the spinach chicken casserole for dinner tonight. For eggplant lasagna I just use thin eggplant slices instead of noodles but other wise make it like regular low fat lasagna. It was so good.

I had a fright with my new baby rat earlier this morning. I was letting them out for playtime on the couch and I turn around for one second and he was gone. I rush the other boys back to their cage and frantically tear apart the couch, I threw their car bed on the floor, threw all their tunnels and stuff on the floor and proceeded to take apart the whole couch. I turned it over upside down and put my hands in places I didn't even know my couch had...we know each other very intimately now... hehe ! No Cecil anywhere! Then I pick up the car bed...the one I just absentmindedly hurled on the floor....turns out he had chewed into the inner lining and was just hanging out watching me frantically search for the little brat! Hehe! He's so tiny so I have to be extra careful where he is at all times. At least I found him safe and sound! Whew!

Taz: Good luck with a good P1 today! You can do it.

Ruth: Aww! Your baby has a birthday! Happy Birthday, Hershey! Give her kisses and cuddles for me.

Cottage: IT's raining out east?? We had snow here, maybe you;ll get some later on after it gets cooler.

Jana: LOL! I love the pinocchio nose smilie! Too cute. We don't put our weight on them here. I guess they figured whats the point since everyone lies anyway.

Schatzi: ConRats on the good news. That's great. We're having the same dinner tonight...why don't you just come on over and I'll cook instead???

KO: No caffeine?? You're a better woman than I!! Good Luck with that.

Cottage: There's nothing nicer than a nice lazy day in the house. Esp. when its nasty outside. Have some tea and put your feet up!

Kyemom: Do your dogs eat those frosy paws things? Mine won't touch it. When I tried to give it to her she licked it, gagged, and proceeded to push it out of her way. Picky ! Have a great day.

Good Mornin' Ya'll

Hi tazcat, cottage, KO, beach

Ruth--now that the basement is finished what are you going to do w/ your extra time? How does it look?

Jana--I just have to stay away from those cookies, they're addictive. But I'd have done the same thing if they were in the house

Schatzi--CONGRATS to your man chicken on the job!!! They must think a lot of him to give him everything he asked for, that says a lot right there!!!!

Kyemom--I went to to my gym last night to get a list of classes they have, and now they offer the beginning classes in the evenings, anyhooo, after I left I thought...what am I going to wear, all I have are sweat clothes that are 3 sizes too big. What did you buy? I can't see myself in those spandex little things these girls wear!!! I don't want to scare anyone on my first day back

Pear--your babies sound like my cats. They're sneaky little things, I look for my lil'bit and call for her. Search the house up and down, then I turn and she's in the hall or peeking around the corner w/ her head cocked, like she's saying Mom whatcha doin? They're fun though!!!

Here it's snowing like crazy, the weather man said only 1-2 inches or even dusting, in our area we got 3-4 inches, schools are closed, half our office couldnt make it in due to ice on the roads. How do these people get to be weather-people?

I tried yoga last night There was this show on fit tv and I just was in a mood to try it. It's not all that bad. The gym offers yoga some nights, maybe I'll give it a try. Has anybody tried it? I'm not the most flexible person around, but I can touch my toes !!! and hold some of those positions. Theres one called the "upper dog" I think, that is torture, and I can only imagine what I look like doing it

Well, I better get back to work, I'd love to chat all day, but these clients think I'm here just for them

Ya'll have a GREAT day!!!

Goodmorning Ladies,
Yesterday was not a good day for me all around. Not eating wise, not working out wise, not life wise. But I am learning that you have these days and you just have to pick up where you left off. All I have to do today is work from home so my main goal is to get some of this packing/cleaning done before the move. Well I will be in my office staring at the computer all day so I will check in again later to see what you chickies are doing.

Ruth - yuck mini gerkins from '93, are they like a fine wine and age with time? I am not going to be the one to find out! I give my puppy vanilla ice cream on his birthday...ofcourse that would mean you would have to purchase ICE CREAM.

JanaM - you are too funny, 'the minefield of girlscout cookies.' Oh well sounds like you are in for a fun day with having to go to the DMV, make sure you bring a snack those lines can be killer.

Scahtzi - that is sooo great about your DH and that job. I am very happy for you, now you can start your job hunt eh? How are those resumes coming along?

KO - no caffienated beverages?!?!?!?! Are you crazy...ok I am over it now Want me to send a cup of coffee your way?

pearshape - glad you found the little bugger, yes my dog will sit and watch me look for him sometimes. Its like we are playing hide and seek only I dont know it.

Tammy70 - Personally I LOOOOVEEEE yoga. And doing it with the t.v. does not do it justice babe. Definitely try a class. It is a real easy way to get a workout on those muscles. I mean it looks so easy but like you said it is VERY challenging. The great part is most instructors will tell you how to do the moves if you are just beginning so they wont be too too hard and then also give advanced options for if you are ahead of the pack. The only thing I do not like about Yoga is all the earthy mumbo jumbo chakra talk...not for me. Also some of the names they come up with for the poses. There is one called either "happy baby," or you can call it "dead bug." Now when given the choice of the pose being called Happy Baby why would anyone in their mind make the alternative name dead bug?!?!

My minefield was brownies yesterday. I have bought mini brownies to have Brian bring to school to celebrate his half-birthday (he has a summer birthday so they celebrate 6 months later). I hoped they would eat all of them but instead he brought some home. They were really good and my weight is up this morning. But that is no excuse for not eating right. Today is a new day.
