Default Weighing?

Hey, I'm a newbie and this is my 7th day in Phase 1 of the SBD. I haven't followed the rules EXACTLY, it's taking a while to get everything down..like eating veggies for breakfast and using the right amount of fats/oils with each meal but for the most part I have been following as far as staying away from all the bad things. I've heard the morning is the best time to weigh yourself? I started at 140 lbs and when I weighed myself this morning I was 135 but then a few hours later..after eating I was back to 140...I didn't think weight just came back like that throughout the day. Which one is my true weight? I thought by now I would have been seeing good results.

First off good job on the weight loss!!!

I think it's best to weigh first thing in the morning to get a true weight. Throughout the day you have to consider the amount of food you just ate adds to your weight. So, whatever you ate before you weighed the second time is added to your morning weight. Hope that helps, keep up the great work!!

The trick is to weigh yourself at the same time every time you weigh. Your weight will fluctuate during the day. I normally weigh 2 or 3 pounds more at night than I do in the morning. I also find that I am really careful the day before a weigh-in day not to eat too much sodium because that will make you retain water. Since you don't have too terribly much to lose, chances are you are not gonna have the weight loss that someone like me is going to have. You are doing great!!! Keep up the good work!

Hey DreaMarie- Dont get freaked out too if during the week you put on a few, it will fall off in a day or two. Your weight fluctuates so often that the weekly weigh in is MUCH more true than a daily.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. I'm just starting out again after getting through the holidays, but I know from past experience that weight can fluctuate by huge amounts during the day. Sounds like you are off on the right track. Just try to refrain from multiple weigh-ins during the day (I know it's hard, especially when you have a good one, you just want to see if anymore fell off in the last hour - lol)
