Default How low is Low Carb?

Hi all,

As a new Beacher I'm planning ahead for p2 (currently day 4 of p1), and as I'm rigidly sticking to the book for p1 til I get the hang, I was going to try my own menus. I saw this low carb book in the library, but was wondering how low low carb is? 14g per pertion? 20g per portion. Not sure if it's different in the US, but over here packets usually show carbs per 100g and per portion then a 'of which sugars' underneath. Obviosly I know to steer clear of any reciepes with avoid food in them.

What should I be looking for?

You should be looking for good carbs, not NO carbs but SLOW carbs. Rather than checking the nutritional content, check the ingredients and look for whole grains, legumes, etc. and minimal fillers such as sugar or conrnstarch.
I hope this helps.
You are wise to plan ahead for Pahse II. be sure to read the hints in the FAQ about the switchover.
