Good Morning LC!

Got my cup of java and am ready to start the day! DH has to be in early today, so I have the two girls. It has been smoother getting out of the house with them in the mornings than I would have thought. Imagine what a little planning ahead can do.

How is everyone doing on their August goal?? I haven't been as consistent as I need to, so I am not really sure where I will end up tomorrow. I do think I am down some, although my ticker isn't accurate. I will wait to change it until I weigh tomorrow.

Me: Well Yesterday I pulled a Ruthand was busy from sun up to sun down! I learned that I simply can't be trusted with pistachios... Nope, Nope,Nope... Portion Distortion... I just can't stop at 30...so after a few days of this I used Val's tip.. . I sprayed the whole dangnabbit bag FULL of RAID.. Hmm 409 was not available...
Soooo...after being thoroughly disgusted with my nut abuse episode.. and wondering what poundage I will gain as a result...I went into the bath room.. pulled up my shirt, pulled my pants down to the bikini line (which is under a big blobbette of fat)... so I'm turning to the side.. Looking..hmmm No side lard flaps (good good I say to myself),,, shelving unit hips are lessening..(check check..good) I lift up these FlabFlaps (I believe use to be breasts),,, and note that I need a bra with hydraulic lifters built into the straps...and SUDDENLY THE DOOR FLIES OPEN HOLY SCHNIKIES it's the neighbors kid... oh yes, full frontal assault..with pants down and hands under the flabflaps!!! Like a deer caught in headlights the both of us... I can only guess what she told her mom and dad, and what nightmares she will have... hohum...just another day in my world.

Schatzi that is just too funny....did you get a phone call from the kids parents. Oh yes we have a real quiet game of army men going on this morning. Lately they are even noisy when they are eating. If I make it til next tuesday with out going insane it will be a mircale.If I disappear then you know I committed myself.

Kiko- hope you are enjoying you coffee I went to pour myself a cup of tea after letting it steep for 10 minutes and all I got was a great cup of hot water, duh I forgot to put in the tea bags.

I hope that everybody in the South has been OK through Hurricane Katrina. We got heavy rain, winds and a few tornados touched down in Georgia. In fact the hard rain hit us when we were driving home from the car dealer last night. I just went outside to check out the yard/pool/decks, etc and everything is OK.

The mom came over... Kendra (the adorable little girl) came over to ask to borrow some Vanilla..(now mind you, the day before, her mom came over for a stalk of celery...so that was my first meeting with her) Deanne (the mom) was bringing back the vanilla with a batch of homemade chocochip cookies.. I told her basically what I wrote in my first post... Well she said...Kendra told momma, that the new neighbor was in the bathroom and had her hands on her boobies.. Deanne scolded her for breaking into the bathroom and thought I was probably giving myself a breast exam..(no, Deanne, I was giving myself a FAT exam) Kendra told mommy that charlene's boobies are Waybigger then hers.. I can only imagine what else she told mommy...but at least we had a good laugh over the whole episode..however, I will have to wait to see if I scarred the child ..and am giving her nightmares about a short weeble-ish fat woman..holding out her breasts as laser weapons...chasing the poor child as her fat flies about.
..sigh, maybe it will scare her into healthy eating habits early in life.

Schatzi way too funny. I need a good laugh this morning. Hope you didn't eat any cookies.

Schatzie-- While I'm laughing my oh-so-generously proportioned @ss off, I certainly hope that mother gave her child a "Come to Jesus" about wandering into people's houses!! (I know, she came to borrow vanilla, but still...the MOTHER should have been running her own errands!) Good grief, what if the child wandered into the home of some pervert???

I got slammed yesterday at the nursing home (16 draws). Yesterday was NOT fun here in Atlanta, but I'm so very thankful that we're not living the life of Biloxi or the other Gulf Coast communities...you all are in my prayers down there!! We had tornado warnings from about 4:30 yesterday and they lasted most of the night. I was just getting in my car to drive home and I saw a funnel cloud off to the east. Scared the snot out of me and I would have panicked except I knew it was moving NORTH!

The outlook still isn't very good...we'll under a severe storm watch (with tornadoes) so I'm as nervous as a cat. Give me good ole earthquakes!!

Thanks for starting us up, Little Chick. I certainly relate to your longing for next Tuesday - six more sleeps! I remember it well. Next Tuesday morning, The Girls and I plus assorted mothers will meet at the corner to wave the school bus off!

Kiko, oh yes, August goals. I know I id very poorly but will set up a thread for September goals. It's a good thing we get a new month every so often. Yup, planning sure does work when you have kids and a job.

2BFIT/SIL, I'm glad that Katrina didn't affect you too much. Scary stuff! I was looking at the devastation this morning on TV - how horrible! !!!!!! Did you get your car? We want details - and pictures.

I've been sleeping in until sixish these mornings - finally! The Girls are fully awake then so the day gets going fast. Lucy was a doll for her bloodwork yesterday - even handed the vet tech her paw when asked. She is such a goofball at home but rises to the occasion in public. The results will be in on Wednesday morning and I am expecting a quick trip to the airport.

Not much on the schedule today except making some dogfood. I am taking my very helpful neighbours out to Eastside Mario's tonight as a thank you for all their support. I have gift certificates from last Christmas that I need to use. It'll be a challenge but I did check the menu online and think I'll have the ****'s Kitchen Chicken and skip the potatoes. That's the plan anyhow! Wish me luck.

2Bfit1 -- Glad ya'll didn't get one of those tornados. We had patchy rain here and the heavier storms stayed just to our west. Local news this morning was speculating on when Savannah and the GA coast will get a hurricane hit. I wanted to smack my radio!

Lil Chick -- don't ya wish that kids had volme control?!!! Tuesday is right around the corner. Now if you could just get them to paly statue or the quiet game until then instead of the drive you insane game. Tell them that they have mastered that one and that they must move on to another activity :LOL:

Well, I am taking a tiny break before getting Julia off to school. I think she may just have a bit of school crud/a cold. My DH last night kept asking her to sneeze on him so that he could get a sick day this week! Oh my -- not that he acn take one as he used them up already this year when we had Logan in March. I think they want him at work whether he is hacking up a lung or not .

I am staying OP really well but I have not lost in about a week. I know I have an extra slow metabolism so I am taking a look at all my calorie intakes for the last few days and I'm going to write out a few meal plans for the next few days for me. Exercise -- this is what I have got to get off my but and do as well. I felt good after a walk but the kids were miserable. I may have to do it after DH gets home this evening. Some alone time for mommy would be nice.

Also, thanks for the yell about "Get back on the beach" I certainly need to. I did not do well yesterday. FIL was assaulted going into the bank yesterday by someone who just robbed the deposit off of a commercial customer. My DH was with FIL at the hospital (broken collar bone, banged up, but okay). That left the shop short handed. So, I had someone bring me lunch from where they were going instead of going home. I shall not name the forbidden foods. *head hung in shame*. I ate well for dinner last night and actually did 40 minutes of cardio yesterday.

This morning, someone asked me if I had lost 10 pounds. I haven't weighed again lately, but it certainly made me beam! I woke up late this morning AGAIN. (DS has a cough that kept him up. And for some reason he wanted to sleep right on top of me last night.) I brought my eggs and turkey bacon and had my "personal chef" prepare them for me. So this morning I have been good. Now... to make it through the lunch temptations!

Kiko- Think of it as "Mommy time" all kidos need that!!
ME- DOing well I guess...DH made dinner last night (that is a rare occurence). He made turkey burgers, greenbeans/corn, and salad...did not even put butter in the veggies. I was impressed that he is actually paying attention to the things I am not aloud to eat. I bought some of that fiber therapy stuff...like metamucil, in capsules...it says to take 5 capsules up to 4 times per day!!! That sounds a bit obsessive to me...Anyone else take these things and can recommend a dosage. I don't want to poop my weight away!! I took 2 capsules before breakfast. Anyway- sorry for the yucky subject matter!! Have a beachy day!!

Schatzi: I had to comment on your scene yesterday! Too funny! I guess you will have to lock the bathroom door, even if you are alone in the house, to avoid another experience like that one! Maybe that is just the thing they do in your new neck of the woods. Thanks for the link!

I have been soooo good that it's almost sickening. I have to come clean about one thing though. I have just developed a bit of a cold, and without thinking, I ate 3 cough drops before asking the question my family is so tired of hearing, "How much sugar is in that?" Well, not much per drop, so I'm not going to beat myself up about it, but I noticed that the cravings started again! I'm just ignoring them.
