Welcome to the beach, you will get tons of support here. This is a great beach. Pull up your chair and dig your toes in the sand.

Hey Jads nice to meet you. Its great to see a fellow UK'er on this board too!

You're not the only one who keeps re-starting P1 every day - I'm the same.
Congrats on your forthcoming marriage - do SBD and you should lose that 8pounds by then.
Good luck - you can do it!

I started phase I today for the first time. SO far so good. I slipped with 3 baked beans when I was testing them for my son that they weren't too hot. Not just beans, but the sweet bush's kind. I don't think that's a deal breaker. I have to be more mindful of what I put in my mouth, especially when fixing his meals!

Kim, I feel you...my hardest thing to remember in Phase 1 is carrots...I have such a hard time remembering that they aren't allowed; they are such a 'health food' in my mind! I had some in my salad yesterday by mistake and didn't realize until I was on my next-to-last bite. Such is life...

I'm doing Phase 1 this week too. I've had bad cravings after eating several gallons of SF ice cream over the last month!

Jads, remember that this is about gaining health, not losing a specific number of pounds, okay? 8 pounds lost isn't going to change much if you do it in an unhealthy way. Just concentrate on eating healthier and exercising and the weight will come off. Setting really difficult (and sometimes impossible) goals for yourself is just setting yourself up to fail. Instead, why don't you say that you will be in Phase 2 by your wedding. That's a 'do-able' goal.

Yeah! More people to start over with. Its been 3 months for me and I am back up 10 pounds, I am so aggrivated with myself! I had finally gotten to 144, but now I am way off.

Day 1 went great, back to work today, and I didn't cheat. My sugar free headache began though.

I have been cooking like crazy. Burgers, and soup, and chicken, I think its just comforting being in the kitchen.

Good luck everyone.

I'm starting my official day one today. So far it's going just fine. It's nice to have such good company to help stay on track.

I restarted SBD (phase 1.5) this week also. I always eat low carb for health reasons so I just cut out anything not south beach but am also not eating rice, ww bread allowed on phase 2. I wasn't able to do south beach last month, life got in the way, but I am able to do it now and ready to lose more weight. I am weighing in on Fridays with a group of really great internet friends.

My biggest problem seems to be not eating enough food. I don't like breakfast but have been forcing myself to eat something anyway. I have been getting in about half my water, not great but getting better.

I also have issues with not eating enough, veggies that is. I am very limited by the veggies that I actually like. And I get tired of eating broccoli and green beans daily.
