  • Hello everyone....quick drive by. Very busy week for DBF & myself. I am preparing reports for my promotion & he's re-arranging the store for Dream Cruise!! "Friends" stop by the store to drink & leave messes, so that's more stress for DBF. We live close by & they wanted to come over to continue the party. I put my foot down...I have stuff to do, can't entertain drunks....besides, we have lived here since Nov. & no one has wanted to visit until now. UGH! Can't wait until this promotion/interviewing process is over!! Take care!
  • Hi ladies!
Just a quickie today. Did good with eating yesterday, canned green beans from my garden and then went into the hills last night with the family and picked huckleberries. Enjoyed the day and looking forward to another enjoyable one today. It's soooo nice to have a few days off work! Went for my run again today, but I felt like I was running through molasses. Anyway, I hope you all have a great day.
  • Hi Chicks

Had a doctors appointment this morning for my blood test. Had a wonderful little talk about the South Beach Diet. According to my doc,its the only healthy diet out there. Or like he said the healthies Way of Eating for Life. So we're on the right road for health & weight loss.

Ruth Sending you relaxing vibes: for recuperating from last week.

Ellis Thanks for acknowledging about my sons song.We works as an engineer at WOR talk radio, and hes on a cooking show where the chef lets him to use his music as bumper music before and after commercials & news reports.

Sometings is happening to my Computer as is acting up have to comeback later, going to loose this post. Hugs BB
  • I'm having a poopy day. It's Registration Day, so I'm flying around here like a mad woman. As I expected, once the morning passed, I started to feel a lot better and I went and got a Subway veggie salad for lunch. I just don't feel like eating at ALL in the morning. I'm really nauseous.

So I went and got my blood drawn and they ran it stat. No detectable level, or "not pregnant." Which means that I'm just nauseous and throwing up and fatigued for no reason. Maybe it's stress, I don't know. I've never thrown up and been nauseous because of stress before, and I don't think there's ever been a point in my life that I couldn't eat.

Anyway, the girl who drew my blood was new, and I got all the way to the car before I realized that I had blood pouring down my arm (and all over my white dress shirt.) The lab was only 2 minutes from work so I rushed back and busted out the saline (for those of you who don't know, saline gets fresh blood out of clothing.) My shirt is good as new, but geeeeez.

Then I did something wrong and had to start a 250 Parent Handbook Project all over from the beginning, and I'm just having a rough day. My boss gave me a "direct order" to go to Subway and get something to eat and take some time because I'm going to be here all night and I won't get another chance to eat until like 8:30.

Anywho, the verdict is "not pregnant." So, as we all knew, I'm just sick

Have a good one. Hope to be on tonight.
  • OMG - DS let me sleep in! I should take his temperature!

Actually, he woke up at just past 7, after a late and restless night (for my part), just as I was finishing packing DH's lunch and preparing to return to bed <groan>. DH settled him in our bed, though, and he feel back asleep after some warm milk <whew!> - and slept until 10 or so!

We had a nice breakfast (after rescuing DH, whose BRAND NEW bike broke down on the way back from jury duty!), and played around a little, then started watching "Brainy Baby" videos. We just finished a late morning snack of string cheese (which I've been trying to teach him to eat: "No, honey, don't cram it all in at once!"). I'm feeling really hungry today - I don't know if it's the unusually late start, or if it's the lack of carbs. I think I'll be nibbling a lot of string cheese and veggies and hummus today!

Ruthxx - glad you get some rest today (for a change)! We don't have cardinals here, but I love listening to the sparrows and other songbirds in the early hours; it's very relaxing to hear.

Kiko - I hope things get better soon!

Ellis - DS is 17 months - he's a cutie, but very very busy! We call him jungle monkey - it fits him to a "t"! I still haven't read HP either - I've had it sitting here since it was delivered on its release date, and I've just not had the time. What very little time I've had for reading has been spent reading the SBD book and starting on my lit class books. Maybe winter break....

djett - small children are terrific exercise, aren't they?

nittany - I'm glad you enjoy your job. It's so hard to keep going to a job you hate! I've only had one job I really loved (until the company was taken over) - but I had the time of my life there!

Weezle - I hope you feel better soon! Let us know when you hear from your friend about your results! I know what you mean about the Mexican food - we love Mexican (my family is from so cal), and Mexican appears to be DS's favorite food so far. It's easy to make it OP at home, but harder at a restaurant! Can you beg off because you're feeling poorly? Good luck!

Pearshape - Hope you had a great vacation!

kyemom - I hope your DS does well! Go team!

KO - have a good day!

Jenn - hope you and HB have a good trip to Maine! I've never been, but I had a friend who was a native, and it sounded really lovely.

Angelshine - AAAA! What an end to a vacation! I love cats dearly, but they sure know how to make you pay when you leave them behind, don't they?

Barb - I'm glad about Brian's teacher. It's nice to have good teachers that kids like! School starts much earlier where you are than here - most schools here start in Sept, often after Labor Day.

    soon2bfab - good luck!

RNMOM - sounds like you had a perfect summer day! Hope you have another one today!

beach bum - isn't it nice to get affirmation when you are doing something good for you?

Wheezle - I hope they figure out why you're sick - do you think it's stress related? You sound like you have a full plate + side dishes!

    Have a great day/evening everyone!
  • Just a Quickie still in the middle of a project
