Actually, Shortie, you were told wrong...I'm sorry for the misinformation! Crystal Light shouldn't count for any of your water intake. When you drink things like Crystal Light and soda, your body has to process the added chemicals and other ingredients out to get to the water. It takes more work and your body doesn't get it as quickly. So, only count water as water.
If you are drinking flavored water and it has only two or three ingredients, it probably could count. For instance, water with a squeeze of fresh lemon is fine. I'm not sure of the ingredients in things like la croix or Fruit2O, so you'd have to check them out.
Remember, you're trying to get at least 64 oz (2 liters or 8 glasses, 8 oz in each glass) of water a day. It helps so much, really!
