Well, Ellis, my DH grabs my boob so yours is tame! Peter did it by mistake once when he was handing me a drink and does it all the time now. Hmmm....I wonder if sister Joan knows. I don't give a damn but I'm old and jaded!

I'm just in from finally doing some gardening! I planted a butterfky bush that has been languishing in its pot since I bought it in early June! I've made it to the library and the bath is now running. Then it's Heigh-ho - off to the Fair!

valerie910 07-23-2005 11:20 AM

Ellis - OMG...what did you do at that very moment that he kissed your neck in the kitchen? Did you have a knife in your hand? Rolling pin? Any sharp or blunt object? did you want to use it on him?

Kierie - I'm with you on the water! Keep chuggin' chickie. I've kind of made it a rule to have a serving of veggies with every meal...it's pretty much habit now.

Nothing too special going on this weekend. I haven't exercised yet so that will be first on the agenda...then probably work outside on the lawn, garden and my tan. :beach:

I'll do some cooking this afternoon...I'd like to get some pre-portioned stuff in the fridge and freezer for the week.

I've decided I LOVE to have soup for lunch! I started SBD eating a mixed salad with some kind of lean meat for lunch and very quickly got bored with it. Last week I pulled a can of beans out of the cupboard (don't even remember what kind of beans) and just started adding whatever vegetables I had in the fridge at the time along with some beef, chicken or veggie broth and whatever seasonings sounded good...let it simmer for a while and serve. So far I've had great luck just dumping things into the pan...and it's a great way to get my veggies :)

I need a good recipe for cucumbers...any ideas?

Afternoon chicks!

Ellis I would have been so freaked out. That is just rude!

Ruth I spent some quality time in our front flowerbed this morning. The amount of weeds in there is embarassing! It still needs quite a bit of TLC, but it is super hot here today.

Pear WTG on your 2 lb loss, that is awesome!

Not much to report here- I didn't go weigh in at WW this morning. My week was nowhere near stellar and I didn't want to record a gain. Back on track today, dinner is planned and everything. Not in the best of spirits, I am just tired!!

Have a great weekend all!

Val .. cukes are great fillers...dice them up to add crunch to a wrap.. or a good old Cuke and onion salad . slice the cukes thin.. put some salt on them, put in fridge in a dish covered for a few hours..then add some cider vinegar, water and splenda, a tich of OO ..shake and pour over the cukes and thinly sliced sweet onions,,, delish!
EllisWell darlin, it depends on how YOU Feel when BIL gives you a kiss on the neck..Like Ruth said , she has one who grabs a boob, I have one who slaps my butt, .. if BIL is steppin over the line of your comfort zone.. talk to DH again--but tell him "If this happens , I'm going to ____" seems to me if you already told DH and no action taken...Its time for you to deal with it ..Tell BIL to knock the crap off (nicely heh heh) ... if you prefer a passive/aggresive approach, well slather your neck in BenGay before time..or some other foul smellin tastin concoction! Or as soon as he kisses you SCREAM in UTTER AGONY, "MY CRIK . I done had a Wee Kip on the couch and my neck is sore YOU FIGGY DUFF! ( Darlin Ellis, Vee Have our Vays of Dealin Vith thees Vermin, yes?) :D

Ellis - That is definitely creepy!

Kiko - We need some of those who mentioned cooler weather to send some down here. Gals, it is supposed to be 100 every day this weekend and for part of next week.

Me - I finally made it to Kwando and PowerFlex classes today. Two hours of straight heavy duty exercise. JB decided we would use resistance bands today. Try to step on a resistance band while holding the handles, pick up a weight bar, lift it over your head and hold the bar and handles behind your head while you do squats! And then the rest of it got tougher! I might just be sore tomorrow.

I've gotten Brian's back to school shopping done (unless I get him a new pair of shoes). Now I need to hem pants. Dinner was yummy tonight. Turkey tenderloin with a Caribbean rub (no sugar), squash casserole from the recipe forum (yummy but I'm going to add some Italian seasoning next time I make it), and brussel sprouts (cooked with turkey bacon, garlic and chicken broth). I think tomorrow night will be Eggplant parmesan with broccoli and penne pasta. Now I just need to plan the rest of the week.

Ellis... umm that is a little yuck! Hope you are feeling OK...

I started Phase 1 today - I was going to wait until we moved... but was so very inspired by some of the threads in the forum... i thought why wait!!! So thanks to everyone who contributed to the "What have I learned" thread :cp: it is very inspiring...

I have no idea what I weigh as the scales are busted.. but may buy some more this morning...

Have a wonderful day on the beach :D

pearshape 07-23-2005 10:35 PM

Yummy day on P2!! I had a mango this morning and some mixed brown rice with dinner! Yum! No cravings and I was so satisfied I didn't even eat dessert! I'm glad I moved on and hopefully my weightloss won't stall out again!

soon2Bfab 07-23-2005 11:30 PM

UGH!!! UGH! UGH!! I HAVE THE WORSE CRAMPS EVER!!!! I feel like crap! NOt much is going on....working this weekend & DBF will not leave me alone. With my moodiness & complaining, one would think he would get the hint.
Ellis, yuck! He's lucky he did that to you & not me...the mood I'm in right now...he would of been crawling & crying for his mother!
Pear - congrats on the 2lbs!

I'm off to soak...maybe that will help!

Marianna 07-24-2005 06:45 AM

 Resisted eating at the Fair for three days. Will today be the day I cave? I think there should be a law prohibiting fried onions!
I'm off to Church and will pray for strength. My PA friends, Sally and Nancy, are here at their cottage for two weeks so I may be "forced" to drink a lite beer.

I'll do a bit of gardening after Church if it's not too hot and then will be at the Fairgrounds for the afternoon. I think I am going to be stuck judging the Pet Show. It is so cute! We make sure there is a prize for every kid who shows a pet, even if it's something silly like the pet with the darkest eyes or longest nails!

Catch y'all later. "Normal" life resumes tomorrow.

changa 07-24-2005 09:44 AM

Well, I was doing great until I had nachos for dinner last night. :( Luckily, it only made me gain .5 lbs. I've had some major cravings for ice cream the past two days, but I didn't give in! I've been drinking a ton more water, but that may be due to the heat and the fact that I've been exercising a lot this week. After today, I will have done cardio for 3 days and I went to the Body Pump class (whole body weight training) twice, so I met my exercise goal for the week...yay!

Right now I am sitting here watching the Tour de France on cable (Go Lance!) and getting ready to fix my chocolate milkshake for breakfast. I'll head out to the gym afterwards. :)

BTW, are the threads supposed to be locked, or is there a problem on my end?

ellis 07-24-2005 09:51 AM

Changa, Ruth occasionally goes on a "locking spree" when a subject has been exhausted. ;)

Bamiegurl 07-24-2005 10:32 AM

Mornin chickies! I think mom and I are goin to church if she feels like it. Today is my oldest sisters birthday so may try to fit something in with her.

Soon...I can so relate on the cramps! It has been aweful...but hey it is my second one this month! UGH!

Well I gotta go get a shower incase she decides to go.

Have a great day all!
